I had never truly appreciated what a beautiful world we now inhabit. Lunatia is splendid in its own right, but it was a rare privilege indeed to travel beyond its boundaries, as I have done for the past month or so.
There is so much more beyond the city than the Nothing. Lush forests, little hamlets of born survivors, the great, glittering expanse beyond it all... I have heard cries at night to which one cannot begin to put a name. It puts one's feelings into perspective.
[He pauses, voice shifting to something soft and wistful.]
I had not realised, for instance, how long it had been since I last stood upon the shores of an untamed ocean, felt real seaspray on my body... my stay was brief, but it was... reinvigorating. Saltwater is a great healer, or so I am told.
[There's another, aching pause; those who already know him can probably guess what he's thinking about. When he speaks again, at least, he sounds brighter.]
Incidentally, now that I am back in Lunatia, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to moonlace. While the locals were all exceptionally welcoming I did not ask for more than enough to keep myself functional. I would be glad to see a familiar face.
In the mean time, would anyone be so kind as to fill me in on what I have missed over the past month?

Coffee?
[The vaguest way of saying 'Yeah I'll help you out' and 'Welcome back' ever.]

I would like that very much. Are you home?

Nah, popped out for a bit of take-out. Still out.

Perhaps I shall stop by later, then.

Easier to meet out at a coffee shop right now than not, unless you'd rather pass for another day. Don't think my roommate would appreciate a guest so soon.

Welcome back, and would my face be considered familiar enough?
[ Sure, he is missing people. He's even missing the telepathic connection to Moran.
But - he's still glad to hear from this particular voice, too. ]

Familiar enough for a great many things from which I am sure we will both benefit. Are you well, Xunxian?

Where are you?
I will make a place in my arms for you to Moonlace.

I am still at the moonport. Where can I find you?

Life here is not so unpleasant that I cannot appreciate the wealth of new experiences and challenges with which it has blessed me. I believe that all things have a purpose; if I am here, it is because it is where I must be.

so youre a hippie
i mean thats cool and all i dont really care
but we can all have summer of love any time even if i could be doing that back home and the wealth of new experiences and new challenges seems to be like
do you want to hold my hand maam because if we dont at least once were probably going to fucking die and i dunno
thats a challenge alright
i wish i could think like you though that shit sounds dope and much better than the truth

But the fact remains that we are trapped here whether we like it or not. We could resent it, or we could make the most of the experience and make ourselves happy while we are here.

Are you gonna tell me why you left in the first place?

My lover left. Hanzo, if you knew him.

Y'all missed out on some dragons... the one I raised from last year came back. I'm guessing you saw some interestin' sights yourself, though.
Re: voice
Genji would have liked to have seen them, he thinks. Hanzo, too. His chest aches, but he forges on.]
It was well-worth the journey. Have you visited the greenhouses along the Inari Highway yet? The plantlife within is extraordinary! I could easily spend hours upon hours there.

Yeah, ah... Presley's still around. Still a firecracker. He only hatched with three legs, back then. Fixed him up a better one before they all left.
[Maybe the solution is to talk about dragons... more!!!!!!!! Anyway.]
Oh, yeah. I got to help out when they were just startin' out. It's a real nice piece of work. Spy got himself a place down in Amegahara too. Kinda nice to see this place expandin'.
wherE DID THIS NOTIF GO
[This is fine, he thinks: gentle conversation, as if he were lowering himself inch by inch into cold water while his thermoregulators adjust.]
If I had known that Spy was so close by, I would have visited him while I was there! But you are right. This world only seems to grow wider and lovelier with each month we pass here. It is uplifting, is it not, to see the fruits of our labours?
LMAO
I dunno how often he’s been there yet. It’s more like a... home away from home, I guess. [He shrugs, not that Zen can see.] Better than folks hatin’ us or the planet we’re standin’ on fallin’ apart, that’s for sure.
