[The video opens to Fish awake, sitting up in what seems to be their bed. Their dressing gown is on, at least. It's late at night in Lunatia-- give or take about 3am. And if your volume is up high enough, you might catch the sound of... someone? being very busy the next room over. Fish looks pretty concerned.]

Ah... hello.

[This is awkward.]

It's been a while since I've used this to address the whole network but... I was wondering how people deal with... ah... cats?

[And there's the sound of a door busting open and a blur of violet getting in the way of the camera and Fish and the suggestion that the merfolk threw their hand up so as to save the communicator from getting knocked over.]

Molly what--?

Ignore me, I'm just sneaking in here.

Wait, I can't--

Yeah, it's fine, just let me crawl in here.

I'm on the communicator.

Great. I don't wanna talk I just wanna sit...

[Rustle rustle.]

Perfect.

[A pause of silence.]

Continue, I'm comfortable now.

[The communicator comes down again, a little closer to Fish's face this time, they look defeated. But there's a very content, lavender-skinned, heavily tattooed tiefling on them, their tail swishing lazily and making a mess of the video a bit.]

I guess now you all know what I need... ah... a bit of advice on. Sorry, I'll get to replying to any answers later. It isn't the easiest having a lap full of cat-like tiefling.

[They huff and grin before turning the feed off.]

[He didn't get so loopy under the Iris moon as to lose himself wholly. Maybe this guy just was determined to be a pain in the neck naturally.]

[ Oh no. Molly was just more inclined than usual to be an asshole, of which he was most often to people who were short with him. ]

[There's a little huff on the other end, as if Molly had just gone and done something ridiculous again.]

He's ridiculous all the time. Just more than usual now. But I love him all the same. Sorry for him, but I certainly won't be cutting his balls off.

[What Pidge will see is... well, a whole mess of a living room. Seems like Molly's been too much of a disaster for Fish to keep up with, really. But he's on the couch, being very content with watching the light float around him like little fishes.]

How has that been going for you?

We are.

[Fish smiles very warmly.]

We're lovers, he and I. So, honestly, I don't mind at all that he's all in my space. Though... I do mind the mess he's made of my living spaces.

Ah. I... tried? I guess?

[Fish looks pretty uneasy.]

... but he was so pretty, I couldn't find it in me to talk to him about it.

[Code for Fish was too distracted so they just got frisky with Molly instead.]

[Fish laughs, just absolutely amused by the thought.]

Alas. He's not even home at the moment.

[Knowing Ren, he's probably out scowling at the clothing stores again or something.]

Oh. Sorry, I didn't think he was... I mean, I didn't know we even COULD do that! So I thought he was just a talking cat.

I don't know much about relationships, but maybe at least tell him he's making a mess?

[ Connie isn't too sure, though. He doesn't want Molly to be mad at Fish or vice-versa. ]

I am pretty great. [ Unique. Whatever. She's gonna take it as a goddamn compliment because that's what she does, grin on her face and all. ]

I'm blue! [ She sure is. ]

I've met blue tieflings before. Two, actually. They were brothers. But you really stand out because one-- you have a very unique accent. Very pretty, too. I've never heard anyone speak like you before. And two-- your shade of blue? By far the prettiest I've seen on a tiefling. I've seen some merfolks in your shade! Though I think Molly would be hurt if I preferred your shade over his.

Then again, I have to admit, I'm biased.

[A bright, cheerful grin there.]

[At that, Fish chuckles.]

I think I'm the warmest thing in this room for him. And if that's so, that's okay by me.

[freshtilapia]

Perhaps next time then, when he is home.

Oh, for sure! It's gonna be great.

[Fish sighs. They didn't want to, but they had to say something at some point, even if Yasha was coming over to help them deal with him.]

I'll try.

[Fish says the words with some resolve. But the last time they did try to speak to Molly about it, they fell under his intoxicating scent. It was very possible that it would happen again.]

[freshtilapia]

Well... the moon does change us in different ways every cycle. There's no telling how we can be from month to month.

[Fish grins.]

What is your moon, Usagi darling?

[galatining]

Oh that's wonderful then!

[It is truly, to see people coming together in this situation.]

Ah, then perhaps you just need to reorganize a little? It might help him make a little less clutter.

Hmm? OH! Iris... and... I actually really hate it.

[She blushed.] I... never mind. [She didn't want to bring up how uncomfortable it made her to Fish when they already had so much to deal with.]

[freshtilapia]

Ah... another Iris. There seems to be quite the number of us. I’m one, too.

[ Usagi isn’t the first Fish knows to hate the Iris cycle. And Fish sympathizes. ]

Do you want to talk about what you hate about it, darling?

Okay! If... if anything, it shouldn't go on for too long, right?

[ Thankfully, the moons didn't seem to go on for more than a few days. ]

[freshtilapia]

Yeah... I'm sure it won't. It's just a little trouble now, but Molly will be back to normal in time.

I'd probably have mixed feelings about it, though. I really enjoy how he wants me in this state. And he gets sad when I leave him alone.

[Fish speaks as if they're absolutely head over heels in love-- or absolutely doting on their pet cat.]

[Fish's cheeks feel warm. It feels wonderful being able to tell other people that they were in love.]

That might be a solution. Though... he is a person. [They laugh.] When I came home earlier tonight, he had ransacked my closets for all my blankets!
