[The video opens to Fish awake, sitting up in what seems to be their bed. Their dressing gown is on, at least. It's late at night in Lunatia-- give or take about 3am. And if your volume is up high enough, you might catch the sound of... someone? being very busy the next room over. Fish looks pretty concerned.]

Ah... hello.

[This is awkward.]

It's been a while since I've used this to address the whole network but... I was wondering how people deal with... ah... cats?

[And there's the sound of a door busting open and a blur of violet getting in the way of the camera and Fish and the suggestion that the merfolk threw their hand up so as to save the communicator from getting knocked over.]

Molly what--?

Ignore me, I'm just sneaking in here.

Wait, I can't--

Yeah, it's fine, just let me crawl in here.

I'm on the communicator.

Great. I don't wanna talk I just wanna sit...

[Rustle rustle.]

Perfect.

[A pause of silence.]

Continue, I'm comfortable now.

[The communicator comes down again, a little closer to Fish's face this time, they look defeated. But there's a very content, lavender-skinned, heavily tattooed tiefling on them, their tail swishing lazily and making a mess of the video a bit.]

I guess now you all know what I need... ah... a bit of advice on. Sorry, I'll get to replying to any answers later. It isn't the easiest having a lap full of cat-like tiefling.

[They huff and grin before turning the feed off.]

Cats like eating fish, right? I hope he doesn't bite or something. How bad can the moon be on people's minds?

Funny, another friend of mine told me that fish aren't good for cats. But I'm not sure how affected Molly exactly is by this moon cycle.

[Fish laughs and shakes their head. It feels really pleasant talking about this with Gawain.]

Have you ever been teased like this? Played a lover's game as well?

[Yasha Observes the apartment for a second, then observes Fish, then Molly. This asshole. She lets out a fond sigh and shakes her head a little before looking at Fish again and nodding.]

It's fine, if it bothered me I wouldn't be here. [Probably. Either way, she's okay with dealing with Molly's brand of annoying.] Thanks for uh.. inviting me.

[She steps in and sets the blankets and greatsword by the door before making her way over to Molly and kissing him on the forehead.] I hear you're being an asshole.

[ Fish will step aside for now then and allow Yasha to hopefully calm Mollymauk down from his cat-like behavior? ]

[Ren's first thought is that this must be Molly's friend he mentioned at the festival a while ago, though he's a little busy being amused at the whole situation for that, a hand curling gently over his mouth.

Ren also happens to be a Cordis, but his current changes are draconic, with black scales and golden horns. He almost bounces back from the camera to a sitting position, manner very cutesy, and an innocent, airheaded sort of tone coming when he speaks.]

Mmm, I could give you plenty of advice on cats, but I think you might need advice on whimsical people more...which I guess I could help you with too, but part of the fun of being like that is people not knowing how to deal with you, and I wouldn't want to ruin his fun~

...after a fashion I have a few times. Though it usually doesn't go anywhere fruitful for me. Or it never did in the past. But that's usually because the other person is also under a curse.

[Eyebrow quirk. Fish has their sass on.]

[ ...oh gosh, now he's laughing ]

[Ren appears entirely unfazed by the sass, merely tilting his head with a light sort of smile.]

Oh? We're talking about whims and you can't make a guess at that...? [He wags a finger in a jokingly chiding sort of manner. Ren frequently does things that don't really have a point, because he's just that kind of person.] You said you wanted advice, but isn't more experience with that kind of person helpful too? That way I can be considerate of both of your needs...

[It seems like a sincere enough train of thought, at least, if a bit weird.]

And certainly not on purpose—-[ Nope. A quick look at Fish, himself, then Yasha, who’s obviously been called here to dote on him? He can’t deny it. ]

[ Mostly to Fish, but he looks pretty sheepish honestly. Not accusatory. ]

Oh, I'm sure you do. [ A very handsome scratching post, too. ] Didn't know if you'd want a break every now and then, though.

Ah... I’m truly sorry to hear that, darling... what kind of a person were they?

[ Fish looks equally sheepish from the side. ]

I... it isn’t so much of a big deal but while I’m not happy about my apartment getting messy like this, I can’t really get around to cleaning when you walk up to me and are... just... absolutely intoxicating.

[ For once, the merfolk is completely bashful about the whole thing. ]

I think that’s a part of my problem... there’s something about this Cordis moonblessing that’s making him very difficult to say no to.

If you guys start having sex, I'm out. [Yasha gives them both a very flat and unimpressed look. No way is she sticking around for that.

But she does ruffle his hair a little before smoothing it out again.]

It's the moon more than you. [She casts a quick look around the room.]

But why the uh... pillows? On the ground?

[It takes a while for Fish to figure out a reply because frankly... nothing is really connecting.]

And how do you intend to be considerate of both our needs?

[Ren gestures to himself and Fish in turn as he speaks, his tone remaining airy and calm.]

Well, if I said something directly, then I'd ruin Molly's fun, so I won't do that. But if you tell me what parts you need the most advice on, maybe I can talk you through it and you'll get a better idea of it from dealing with me, too~

[One of the few occasions Ren being often infuriatingly whimsical might have some uses to anyone other than himself.]

[Though Fish could be pretty whimsical at times, they were genuinely a Type A personality though they don't seem it at first. And while they do love Molly immensely, the mess he was making made Fish a bit weary though they found it amusing at first.

They aren't in a mood to deal with one more infuriatingly whimsical person but they'll give it a shot.]

Well, what advice do you have on his leaving a mess in my kitchen in the middle of the night when he fixes up a snack?

HA! We won't. But you should of seen us yesterday.

[ wait no, mOLLY-- ]

As for the pillows? They just were in my way. Sort of. Seeing them propped up all pretty is one thing, but the satisfying 'thump' of them hitting the ground is another.

I'm sorry dearest, I had no idea.

[ Fish turns bright red now and is just obviously too enamored by Molly. ]

It isn’t that big of a deal, darling. It’s something I can fix. It’s just that... I’m constantly distracted from fixing it.
