Guess I'm living alone again, so if someone is in dire need of a roommate, I'm screening people, I guess.
On that note: if anybody knew Atsushi - the one that was living with me, the slightly darker, edgier one? He's gone now.
So, I should also ask: does anyone really believe that people who disappear from this place really 'go back home'?

I thought so
Where else would they go?
Do you know something??

As for where else - there are as many worlds as there are people, right? How do we know for certain they were sent back to their own, proper world?

Never mind
I guess I hadn't thought of it like that
But it makes sense
Because people will leave and then come back
from a completely different time

After all, people forget their time here when they go back.
And in general... you can't confirm it because you can't observe it.

I guess I thought they'd
go back to the time and place they came from
in whatever reality
I'm so stupiWhy would they be sent somewhere else??
We'd be told something like that
Wouldn't we??

That's a common assumption based on how people do disappear and come back.
I've had that experience as well, so I know.
But... a lot of what they say regarding to what happens when people leave or disappear are just rumors and assumptions based on the above. They can't confirm anything for certain, just make attempts at reassuring us.
As for 'why would they be sent some else', I'll say this, but allow me to preface it by stating to take it with a grain of salt; this is just a theory of mine and not something that I can confirm. I could be totally wrong. It's just my thoughts.
There are a multitude of worlds, including this one, and the ones that everyone belongs to.
In fact, there are many alternate universes based on Earth, for example.
This is something that isn't spoken on often, but there's no certainty as to why we were brought here, much less chosen. There was a theory that someone brought up - that people who were picked to come here, at some point did not want to be in their worlds. But if, by some chance, everyone who comes here was chosen at 'random' without any rhyme or reason as to why they were specifically brought here, who's to say that they return to a 'random' location when they disappear?
But that's something that's pretty much impossible to prove unless we could somehow figure out how people disappear and have a definite answer as to where they go.
Sorry, that was long.
Tl;dr version: They 'why' may not be entirely incidental and could potentially be on accident, hell if I know. We aren't told anything because not even the Prismals know the truth, just rumors and guesses.
