If anyone know of any available jobs in engineering, mechanics, or coding weapons or engine systems, let me know.  I have a lot of experience working on fighters, cruisers, and freighters.  

Willing to work long hours.  

I'm also available for any odd jobs anyone is willing to pay for.  If it's something I don't know, I'm sure I can learn.

I don't have any dragon experience, but at the rate this is going that'll be remedied real fast.  Besides, after you've had enough things try to kill you, you can generally deal with anything.

Engineering, tell me what you can build in this world and how you intend to power it.

I've built ships from the ground up. Fighters mainly, but the general concept is the same for other things. I have more experience with repairing and upgrading engine, shield, and battle systems than building them from scratch though. In my experience there's a bigger genuine need for repair too. Everything breaks down at some point, and while you can put off buying something new until you can afford it, fixing something you need is necessity.

If we were to acquire the materials for private airships, would you be capable of overseeing the construction and labor of it?

Additionally, how useful would private airships be in this world?

Already planning on building one myself. So, yeah, generally I don't think I'd have an issue doing that.

You're kidding, right? I have no intention of staying here. I have a family back home.

Your intentions have little to do with your fate, were that the case you would likely be gone already. I'm afraid we'll only stagnate if we focus on that particular detail of our mutual situation.

Given your post, I thought perhaps you were well past that and ready to immerse yourself in your new life here.

Already did the whole new life thing. I can't get much better than what I have no at home. Not really interested in doing it all over again.

Can't get very far without the money to build what I need. Well, other than stealing it, but in this instance that's not going to help me much either.

Just have to find some maps and I'll be able to plot one myself.

Wouldn't say all, but I know the basics I'll need. Definitely have the experience to figure out what to do when my plans go to Tophet too.

It is my understanding the only way home is if this world delivers you back to your origins.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Planning for what I can do, not what may or may not happen. No way am I waiting for this place to decide to send me back. I'll probably be dead before that happens.

My odds have been worse than shitty since the moment I was born. This isn't much different.

I set the bar pretty damn low. Hard to be disappointed like that.

Quite well. Can't be disappointed when you set the bar that low and nobody fails to meet it. They certainly never exceed it either, which is all the more reason not to expect better.

Indurari is the one I live by, but pretty sure it's not a proverb or anything like that.
