I have no desire to go on at length today, nor do I have a particular point to make. Merely a question.

Tell me about something fundamental to your world. Not something that's merely different to this place, but something that you wouldn't have been able to conceive of a world being without until you were brought here. Whether it's mundane or not matters very little to me; every world has something.

[That's surprisingly brief for him, but at least it's less...everything he usually is over the network. Small mercies, maybe.]

Good question. Honestly, my world was so boring that anything would've been better, and this place happens to be pretty interesting as it is. If I'd thought about other worlds back home, I would have wanted something almost entirely different, and this place definitely delivers on that!

This is kind of a specific question, though. Is there something you're missing from your world?

Not particularly. It's more that I'm interested in a distraction, and most people seem to enjoy talking about themselves.

I suppose it's natural to want something better - or if not that, something different. It's rare to find people willing to act on it either way, however.

I think I can see why. A lot of people are afraid of the unknown, right? If we'd all been asked if we wanted to come here, how many of us would have agreed? Not a ton, I'd bet. Well, obviously that's mostly due to a lot of people being dragged here while they were in the middle of something important, but you get what I mean, right?

I know what you mean, yes. I'm largely inclined to agree with you, even - but then, that might be because I was one of those brought here in the middle of something important.
