[ When the video cuts on, it's to the face of a smiling young woman in a soft pink dress in front of a backdrop of a wall of glowing crystals. She's glowing, too, or at least the little markings under her eyes are. A small family of pastel mice sit perched on her shoulders, two to a side, but apart from that quirk she looks very prim, even dainty. ]
Good evening, Lunatia. I hope this message finds you well. Now that the dragonsong has finallyabated, it seems the perfect time to introduce myself.
[ Since everyone isn't going crazy with lust for the moment, that she knows of. She's new, okay? Give her a month. ]
I am Princess Allura of the planet Altea, a Paladin of Voltron, and one of the founding members of the Voltron Coalition. Perhaps these things don't hold any meaning in a reality where Voltron--and maybe even Altea itself--never existed, but I imagine many here find themselves in a similar position.
[ The smallest mouse on her shoulder squeaks, distracting Allura long enough to pass her a tiny piece of fruit with a light chuckle. ]
At any rate, I am newly arrived here in Lunatia, and since it seems there's no telling if or when I'll be returned to my own reality, I hope to become better acquainted with this place and my fellow Moonblessed. What are some of the things you most enjoy about this world? What places would you recommend visiting?
Also, if anyone would be willing, I’d be thrilled to have a few sparring partners to help keep my skills sharp. Please let me know if you’re interested!

His eyes rest on glowing tattoolike marks on her wrist and he pulls up his own mark free arm to the screen. Sorry, he's just an earth boy.]
I am. My lineage can be traced back for generations and all Zeppelis have been human. My mother was too. I was the only child in my family born with these.
[Her face is a fuzzy memory he's long forgotten and he didn't really know her-he's just sure she wasn't an alien.]
Your siluria-does it serve a purpose? Or is it simply a mark?
and now for HC because canon is insufficient and kind of dumb
They can still communicate emotion, however, but it seems mine can't serve that purpose here as they have been glowing nonstop since my arrival. They do have other significance in our culture, but... I am a culture of one on this world.
[ Her smile is very sad at that last comment. ]

She really is alone here and that thought pushes past all the bullshit flirtations that rest at the forefront of his mind. For now, at least.]
That's interesting. Maybe the moons have some involvement in their persistent glowing.
[It's not like it isn't cool to look at. Glowing tattoos essentially?? Not bad.]
When other Alteans arrive, you'll be able to see if that continues to ring true.

[ Allura's smile drops like a stone when Caesar mentions the others, her eyes widening slightly before she scrambles to compose herself. ]
Well, they... there's only one other Altean who could come here. The others are... gone. The planet was destroyed a long time ago.

It makes her inquiry about his birthmarks far more somber.]
I'm sorry. The burden you feel must be immense.
[The few losses in his life have been overwhelming to deal with. He can't imagine a whole world going kaput. Family, friends-]
If it isn't too painful to speak about-what happened?

She shakes her head. ]
It's fine. I'm accustomed to discussing it. My father and our people were betrayed by a man who was once our friend and ally: Zarkon, emperor of the Galra. He was bent on our destruction, and I'm fortunate to have survived--our planet was obliterated, and he killed my father, but I had been placed in stasis and sent away shortly before that. We've encountered no sign since waking that any of the others survived, and it's been ten thousand years. Therefore, I have no choice but to accept the fact that I'm the last Altean, save for my advisor, and these mice.

It strikes a chord. A memory of of his own father saving him from certain death and being sucked into stone to become food for some ethereal beings.
The way she recounts the details is almost clinical and he can tell this is a story she's recited, probably, many times before. One that he doubts gets easier to recall despite the ten thousand years that have apparently passed.
He's quiet. Thoughtful. It's a sobering tale.
And then he finally says-]
This place brings people back from beyond the grave and from different timelines.
[He's a living testament to that. She may be alone in her own world, but-]
Others may join you before long. It's important to stay grounded in reality, but another Altean may find their way here through the crystal's pull.
[There's another short pause, and-]
If I see another with those marks, I'll tell them their Princess is alive and where to find you.
