[Initially, all that's visible in this video are a pair of wide, innocent-looking red eyes, with slit pupils that could almost be mistaken for another draconic moonblessing feature. Then they blink, and the image withdraws...and tilts back to being straight, because Ren's sitting curled on a chair with his black, draconic wings and tail wrapped around him, and three sets of golden horns of varying lengths poking out of his head, the longest set probably over a foot in length in front of the bun he's put his hair in so it doesn't get caught in his wings. As such, his head is actually tilted to one side onto his knees, explaining the initial odd angle of the video.]

So how many people have turned into dragons so far...? I think I saw one posting about something else yesterday, but a bunch of other people seem to have just turned into their normal stuff. Isn't this way cooler, though? [He says that with a clawed hand to one side of his mouth, as if sharing a secret, his overall manner cheerful but somewhat airheaded.

After a moment, he drops his hand and waves it, as if to dismiss the topic for now.] But other than wanting to see all you other dragons out there, I had some other stuff to ask about. First is that I'm looking for people who are good at art or programming for something I'm working on setting up. I still need to do all the boring business license stuff sometime this month, but I want to make sure I'll have good people to do it with, you know? So if you're interested in that kind of thing or know about coding games for the virtual reality systems here, I'd like to see even just how many people are interested in helping make a game...or bring a game here, I guess. I'll see how things go~

[Making something from scratch might be easier than bringing Vanguard over in some form, but he's not prepared to abandon the latter idea entirely just yet. In any case, he raises a finger, then raises a second one. It looks like he's been sharpening his claws...]

And secondly, I've been trying to figure out what the best tea and coffee shops in the city are since I arrived, since I found some pretty bad quality places to start with...and even ones that served instant coffee... [There's an almost exaggeratedly despairing quality to the way he says that which implies instant coffee is probably a fate worse than death to him, but he promptly jumps back to cheery in the next moment.] I ended up making a list of each of them, so I figured I'd share it to save other people the trouble. You're welcome to join me for a drink if you like the sound of any of the places~

[What follows in a text post is a list of 20 stores for tea and 20 for coffee, ranging from the rightly well-known to hole-in-the-wall artisan spots that probably don't even display their name on the front. There's also brief notes for each, including things like nice decor and whether they specialise in specific kinds of coffee or tea on top of just being good in general. Basically, if you favour a certain kind of coffee or tea that can be considered good quality, there's probably a store specialising in it on there somewhere.]

[That gets a soft laugh out of Ren.] Well, at least we'd be prepared for the Chroma draining next time, so it'd be a little bit safer, don't you think?

[Hopefully a few less people turning into crystals.] It'd be nice to get out of the city a bit more often, though. I didn't even know there were habitable places outside it...

With how new people seem to flow in every few weeks, I would still be cautious since they're uninformed of the ordeal. [ Apparently her group was really that numerous and if the arrivals happen every month... things would be a little harder to control. ]

I suppose it was a lucky chance for me who didn't get stuck in the city for that long of a time, tee hee! The outer area is so vast and wild!

People could still warn them pretty quickly, though...just make a post about it or something and they'd be up to date~ [Except the people who don't look at things online, but as far as Ren's concerned, if they're swearing off the most common form of communication they're just going to have to deal with getting blindsided.]

I guess some bits of it are probably dangerous, but that's definitely the first time we've been taken outside the city since I got here. Other than the whole trip from the moon to here.

Mmm, like a monthly newspaper? That ought to help those who frequent the network! [ And the ones who don't? She's still concerned, but if Most people are smart it won't be too heavy of an issue. ]

These changes of pace should happen more often, so long as we're not left on our own in a dangerous forest again!

Maybe something like that...or some kind of post to catch them up that just gets updated for important stuff. [The magic of the internet when it comes to informing people of things, though a permanent post would probably have the issue of finding a way to make people look at it when they show up.]

I suppose! Admittedly I'm not well knowledgeable of how the network works, so I might leave the practical job to someone with more expertise. So long as there's a venue for new arrivals to consult on their first day.

[ Having met quite a bit of danger herself, she'd beg to differ on the fun part, but she's also an undying optimist... ]

Thankfully no one around me got serious hurt from the ordeal, otherwise my feelings on this would have been stronger.

I guess I could ask whether people think it's a good idea sometime...if nobody gets to it before I do, at least. [It wouldn't exactly be a priority for him, but it might be worth talking about the next time he wants some conversation on the network. It sounds like a little too much work for him to do himself, but it might be worth it if it gets good enough optics.]

Mmm, I think everyone handled it pretty well. I definitely didn't see anyone in real trouble, at least.

You're a hardworking pal, Ren! [ There she goes again, with the hip language... ] Please don't overwork yourself if you decide to go with the idea, though! There are so many of us here, and answering questions from hundreds people must be burning you out quickly if you're not used to it.

[ A nod. ] Mhmm! Either way, I have a feeling we won't be hearing of the Outer Plains for a while.

[That might be the first time in Ren's entire life that he's been called hardworking, so that catches his attention way more than the language choice.] Oh, it'll be fine, I always make really sure I'm not overdoing it when I do stuff like that...besides, I'm used to having lots of eyes on me. So I guess I'm more suited to answering lots of questions than some others~

[Even if he often dodges questions and/or foists them onto someone else if they're more business-related.] I think you're right about that, though. It's a shame.

[ Honestly, it's a good thing he ignored her hip language because it's something she has yet to get a real grasp on, although she looks far from an old lady...

And also honestly, she can relate with the "having lots of eyes on her" business, though it's for rather uncommon reasons. ]

Were you perhaps a celebrity in your world? I wouldn't imagine any other way you'd have that much attention.

Mmm...I don't know about "celebrity", exactly, but I was pretty well-known for playing a popular game. And I ran a company that dealt in it as well, so I had lots of people following me around.

[Potentially explaining why he's trying to start up a game company here, considering they do have a gaming industry of some form. It's just not quite the form Ren would prefer to be that popular.]

People watched you play a game? You must have been fantastic at it!

[ It raises all kinds of questions to her, as she rubs her chin thoughtfully. ]

Are you perhaps what modern people call... a youtuber?

It has sort of special effects as a backdrop, so it's pretty easy to watch...but I guess I was what most people would call world-class at it.

[He's participated in a few international tournaments in his time, and he's considered to be one of the strongest if not the strongest player of his deck type, so it's hard to be too humble.]

I wasn't an online personality like that, though. I drew enough attention as it was...

[ A nod of acknowledgement through the screen. Looks like being a youtuber isn't the only thing making someone highly popular these days! ]

World-class... tee hee, I didn't know I was talking with someone that powerful! Should you be able to play here, I'd like to watch you too.

Oh, I'd really like that, though I'd have to have someone else from my world here to put on a proper show for everyone~

[Tweaking the VR technology here to show a fight with the same kinds of effects as his own world likely wouldn't be too difficult, especially since he's planning to work on that when he starts up this company idea, but nobody who hasn't been playing for years is likely to get anything but absolutely annihilated by Ren even if he does manage to introduce the game to this world.]

It's definitely something I'd like to do if the right people showed up, though.

People from your world, yes? From the sound of it, this game you speak of can't be played by just about anyone here.

[ She has no idea what sort of super special game it is, and her curiosity is now perked, but she's mostly certain if she were to play it she would lose in a heartbeat. ]

Mmm, it doesn't exist here. [Yet, though Ren's not getting too far into that this early in the process of starting up his company.] But even if I brought decks and taught someone the rules, the people I usually play with have all been playing for most of their lives. So there'd be a big gap in skill and experience to consider.

Years, even...! That would be a lot for new players to catch up to.

It didn't occur to me that I should ask... is this game one involving cards?

Right, right. I wouldn't expect anyone to be lining up to fight me anytime soon. [Well, they might, if they want to get the card game equivalent of curbstomped.

He seems pleased enough with her guess, too, giving a light smile.] It is...I guess I gave it away by saying "decks", huh?

[ A chuckle. ]

Yes, you sort of did! Deck is a term associated with cards, unless it's referred as a ship's deck of sort. But that would sound weird, non?

Mmm...I guess there's that Battleship game, but I don't think that usually involves strategising about the boat decks.

[Or doing much other than making a lot of guesses and hoping you sink something with them.]
