[ The picture shown to the audience is not a half-naked half-Vulcan. Rather, it's of the very luxurious bath house, carefully showing a view with no other people and just the lovely scenery.

Clearly, this is being taken from inside one of the pools surrounded by bamboo walls with little waterfalls and probably-fake rocks and it's just generally nice. Even the steam coming up from the bath is clearly inviting. Well, according to the guy taking the video, anyway.

Oh, and there's a voice. ]

Either there is a nefarious plot afoot that has left me unwilling to be without this establishment for any reasonable amount of time or this particular bathhouse is gratifying in a way that none have been in all my experiences across my galaxy. This may be considered out of character for me- [ Haha, meta. ] -but I implore any who are interested to please visit the Four Penguins. It is quite a relaxing and soothing experience.

[ A pause... ]

However, if this is a type of ploy devised either by the moons' whims, the proprietors of the Four Penguins, or an unconsidered or unknown entity - the likelihood of which I deem is uncomfortably high - then I believe now is an appropriate time to ask for assistance.

Regardless, I would not be adverse to company. Spock, out.

It does look like a nice place to spend the evening relaxing. And I have to applaud your advertising pitch skills. They're...memorable.

[ Why are they so memorable, Peter is keeping to himself but he looks very amused. ]

Have you drank or eat anything strange before going to the bath house? Some of the food they grow on this planet along with the local drinks might have odd effects on the moonblessed. You might feel more inclined to try things you've never done before or to seek company with urgency.

[ Spock was not trying to be any good at advertising so he's surprised by the compliment and idly wonders if its some form of sarcasm. He'll make a better assessment of this man's personality before assessing either way.

But for now- ] I have been keeping to a minimal diet in the hopes of avoiding such reactions and have not tried anything particularly new within the last 48 hours. Perhaps ingesting new substances is not needed, though.

You've been more cautious than most, that's a wise move. I suppose I'm too used to travel the galaxy and going to strange places to be surprised anymore. Oddities just seem like the usual when they happen constantly.

But you're new here I take it? Names Peter Quill, Guardian of the Galaxy...for all the good that does here now that I am grounded and without a ship.

Perhaps not. Or maybe that bathhouse is really, really relaxing and you needed to unwind. I'm thinking about giving it a try.

You'll discover that most amenities come with a hidden 'catch' so to speak. Most are relatively harmless.

I'm pleased this one allows you to enjoy yourself more than usual.

In my experience, a 'catch' is still often unwelcome whether harmless or not.

Most such things are geared toward mutual cooperation and, or, physical contact. Are you normally predisposed to inviting strangers to bathe with you?

The way in which you use the word 'probably' does not make me any more relaxed than I currently am.

However, it is likely that you are correct in my need to... take it easy. My paranoia has increased substantially since arriving on this planet.

I will keep your advice in mind. It seems as if these shifts of our wills happen often enough that this one is to be... at the very least, not particularly worthy of note.

But you are correct. I should shift my worries to things that are more pertinent... so long as this does not result in drowning. [ Paranoid. ]

... Another odd change in my character. [ Haha. ] I do not find the idea of a bubble bath to be unpleasant currently. [ He... suddenly wants a bubble bath. ]

[ Jim doesn't even bother replying to the broadcast. Why waste time with idle and pointless chatter when he could be doing much more important things— such as changing into a pair of tight swimming shorts, grabbing a towel and a little bag with a few things he might need, and off he goes.

A while later, Jim just comes out of the changing rooms wearing only the shorts, draping his towel on a rock some feet away from the pool. Without warning or ceremony, he hops into the warm waters, letting out a long, happy little groan. ]

Mm, fancy meeting you here.

[ Spock can't say he's surprised that Kirk just showed up and hopped him. He just pauses and watches the little waves ripple around the pool aaaaalmost in a dissatisfied way. But, no, it's fine. ]

It is not impossible for it to be some manner of nefarious plot. Albeit one that would be relatively unthreatening, should there not prove to be more to it. However, neither would it be out of the ordinary for it to merely be an uncommonly enjoyable experience.

That seems to be the take of others as well. So long as the surprise is not currently causing harm, the consensus seems to be that I should just enjoy it. The idea is unsettling, in all honesty, as it implies that the surprises which cause harm are rather frequent.

However, I am attempting to take the advice and... enjoy it.
