[The little vampire seems to be in a particularly foul mood this day. Who better to take it out on than random strangers who have no reason to care about her or her whims? ]

This world can be a rather difficult one for one unaccustomed to the concept of 'affection'.

I understand it, of course. I have not lived as long as I have without learning of a concept so commonplace. It, however, has never been a part of my life. And now, because of this, a lady such as myself lives like some sort of commoner in this world. I cannot say I approve of this at all. Remilia Scarlet should not be forced to live in an APARTMENT. It is like a cruel joke.

[Or perhaps she merely overestimates her own worth. Getting her to admit that would be very much an impossibility, though.]

I have been here for some time and never thought to ask. Is there really no better way? Must I go around letting others invade my personal space merely to acquire the wealth I am used to? How frustrating.

It is a pain in the arse to have to march to the whims of someone with no proper grasp of what you excel at.

It has, in all honesty, been many decades since I even had to give that any thought. In my home world, I had long since paid my dues, crawled my way to the top and was able to live in the lap of luxury.

[She does not seem overly bothered by the air Nero gives off. If anything, the confidence makes it easier for her to take him seriously.]

Many of the talents I used to reach the top are of little use here. There is little call for subterfuge in a city where people are so garishly open about everything. It would be much easier if could simply conquer it, but I promised someone I would not try.

[Also, she'd certainly fail. But mostly the promise.]

Trying to conquer the place would cut into your leisure time, I imagine. I can't say it would be worth the bother.

Ah. I do not often venture that far down. And I do not know where to ask. I imagine I could find out if I truly cared to.

Yes, the problem with conquest is people will always try and overthrow you. I have always found it more useful to have willing subjects. Still, the last time I tried it, it served as an amusing distraction at least. But you are not incorrect, it probably would not be worth my time.
