To be honest, this is probably the most boring network post that I'm going to throw up, and it kind of sucks that it's my first one, but guess you can't all be winners, right?

Anyway, hi. I'm Inaba - I'm actually inquiring on here to look for a proper roommate. The apartment I'm in is medium-sized, but that's still pretty large for a single person to live in, you know? As far as I know, I'm the only one from my world here? Although I've heard that there are other people who come from Japan, even if they're alternate universe Japans.

I'm specifically from Yokohama myself, if that matters to anyone.

Anyway, in terms of rooming stuff, I have a few credentials:

Someone who can do chores (as we'll be splitting them)
A trustworthy individual that will be judged on a case by case basis
Willing to also split any costs and communicate with me as necessary for furniture changes, etc. I honestly don't care what you have in your room, but if you do any crazy furniture changes outside of your personal space, please talk to me first

And that's basically it!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me — I'm willing to answer any questions of my own for you guys to get to know me a little better as a roommate as necessary, and I'm just willing to chat in general, as it can get a little dull at times.

Hello!

I hear you're looking for a roommate?

[ Konoka decided to face the fact that she really didn't like living by herself. Granted, she was in the middle of Iris hell and thus didn't want to bother anyone with her clinginess, but having a person worth talking to was always a plus. ]

Yeah, Japan is a familiar name from me, but I'm actually from Kyoto. My name's Konoka Konoe. I'm adept at cooking and chores, if you're looking for that.

[ She wanted to get to know her too, first, though, so. ]

What's home like for you?

Yeah.

[ Inaba is an Iris, but her temperament currently was more or less the same, just. . . heightened a bit. ]

Kyoto, huh? I've never been there, actually. What's it like?

Also admittedly, yeah. I'm not exactly amazing at cooking myself and while I'm still trying to learn, I can't call myself an expert. I'm more or less a frozen diners kind of person.

But as for what home's like - Yokohama is nice. It's really big so there's always a lot of things to do and it's really gorgeous. And there are a lot of nice people there, too. I honestly miss it.

That sounds pretty cool! I would have liked to stop by.

Kyoto's pretty nice last time I saw it. I went to school in an area just outside its borders. If you haven't heard of Mahora Academy, it's likely because of the alternate Japan business.

If I may ask, how has this whole Moonblessed business been affecting you?

It is. Yokohama is pretty well known for being a port city as well as the big Ferris Wheel. It's honestly a good home.

And yeah, haven't heard of it.

Parallel worlds and all that stuff.

[ There is, however a pause after the next question about the Moonblessing stuff— ]

I just got here recently, so it's all a bit overwhelming.

Yeah, I haven't been here long and this has been quite a bit to take in. And this isn't the first time I've woken up on a completely different world.

[ Granted, she hadn't fallen asleep in her regular world and woken up here, but given the trip to the magical world had gone just as suddenly, the comparison wasn't too far off. ]

Though on the bright side, this place wasn't as nearly as dangerous! Plus I kinda like how moonlacing works.

Ha.

I wish I could say the same, this place is the most dangerous that I've been to. Moonlacing isn't that bad, but going past holding hands is a bit. . .

Awwww.

Well even if you don't want me as a roommate, I'm happy to moonlace just holding hands, if you'd like me to!

[ Konoka's giving nature was especially strong during the Iris moon. ]

Haha, thanks. I'm honestly really surprised at how many people easily offer to do something that simple. Even more so for strangers.

I don't know about anyone else, but for me, a lot of friends at home say I'm touchy-feely. And moonlacing feels good, gets you money AND gets the other person money too.

So I have literally every reason to enjoy it

But I realize I'm lucky in that regard, s I want to use that good luck and help others if I can.

I guess that's true. . .

I do think it's weird, though. That moonlacing actually feels good and makes money.

[ Inaba "the biggest skeptic" Himeko right over here. ]

Maybe it is. I'm not sure what magic is at work.

But it really works and I like it.

[ Konoka is too hopeful for this world. ]

Anyway, do you often have friends over, or do you head out a lot?

Yeah. . . if it even is magic.

[ She's been questioning things since day one partially out of curiosity, partially because she doesn't trust anything. ]

I actually do go out quite a bit, actually. I don't invite people over, but if I do, I'd obviously let my roommate know, just in case.

Yeah, that's good to know.

I tend to go out a lot myself. If the situation changes, as in "people stop by my place more often", then I'd let you know if it came to that.

You mind meeting in person when Iris week is over?

Though if you're daring, we can meet in public sooner anyway. I promise I'm still presentable, even with antlers.

I'm an Iris as well, and even if it does end, we're both going to have to deal with it again at some point so it's better to deal with it sooner rather than later.

If you want to meet up sometime today, or another day.

Do you know where the arcade is? In front of there.

I'll be wearing my school uniform so it should be easy to spot me-- it's all navy blue and with a plaid skirt.

[ Since her name is pretty gender neutral and all. . . at least, the last name she introduced herself with. ]

[ Inaba wouldn't have to wait too long. Just outside the arcade, Inaba would eventually spy a brunette with... antlers. And very long hair that resembled tentacles. She was mostly modest in dress, but her limbs seemed to be covered in a sheen of fur.

She was busy texting on her phone, and Inaba would get another text on her phone. ]

I'm here!

[ If Inaba approached, however, she'd actually deduce who she was. ]

You're... Inaba-han, right?

[ Inaba wasn't already at the arcade, but she certainly doesn't take her time heading there, although she does pace herself, given that her athleticism is kind of garbage.

But eventually she's here - and, as spoken about through text, in her school uniform. The only physical change to be seen on her are the rabbit ears atop her dark black hair as she sees the message, raising her eyes to glance around for the person she's looking for before walking up to approach, although it's admittedly a little sheepish. ]

Yeah, that's me.

[ Konoka greeted cheerfully. ]

Wow, looks like you got off somewhat easy, given you only got cute bunny ears. I've turned into a straight up deer alien.

And I'm still not the weirdest thing I've seen today.

I'm Konoka. Nice to meet you in person! Are you holding up alright with Iris madness?

Maybe whatever god lives on the Iris moon thought, "haha, it'd be funny to give Inaba bunny ears, then we can call her Inabun."

[ Her response us admittedly a little dry, but that doesn't mean that she's actually annoyed by it.

Okay, well, she kind of is.

Nevertheless, she tries to wear a bright smile towards Konoka, but it doesn't entirely meet her eyes. ]

It's a bit. . .much. Almost overwhelming, actually.

[ If she were hoping to not be funny, then unfortunately Konoka couldn't stop herself from grinning at that name pun.

Fortunately, even if she couldn't see past Inaba's smile, the words were enough to make Konoka consider herself more carefully. ]

I see where you're coming from. You're far away from home, from anyone you know, thrown onto a new world. You wonder if you'll see everyone again. It's kinda scary.

But you're still here and you're still you, despite everything.

[ Konoka really wanted to give Inaba a hug right now, and it was taking every fiber of her being not to do so, since a potential roommate would probably get freaked out from hugs around here. ]

I would know. This isn't the first time it's happened to me.

But it's not necessarily a bad thing, so she can't help but sport a little grin at it nevertheless. ]

Yeah, a little bit. But I've been on my own for a long time.

[ She doesn't want to admit just how truly terrified she is.

Because that would mean that she's weak. She can't show weakness, she just can't- ]

I guess you're right, though. I'm still myself. I'm still. . . Inaba.

I think it's alright if other people give a helping hand.

[ Konoka decided to take a bit of a risk, and take Inaba's hand in her own. Aside from finally telling some part of her body to shut up, it would also help her point. ]

People have an easier time surviving when they're together.

You're right.

[ She knows all too well. It's a seasoned learned time and again, that people can't live on their own. As much as a part of her wanted to crawl back in her shell the moment she found herself in another world, all by herself —

But she can't live that way.

Her eyes widen ever so slightly as Monika takes her hands before letting out a bit of a breathy sigh. ]

You can't do everything on your own. In this world it's made especially true when making money easy is through touch, and the easiest way to get that is with connections.

Yep!

[ Konoka beamed when Inaba didn't react adversely. ]

I've got a lot of things that I miss and ache for at home. But here, I want to keep moving forward, and the people I've met so far have been so kind and helpful, I want to pay it forward!

[ She seems so naively shounen it hurts, but at the same time her grip on Inaba is as firm as it is comforting, so perhaps she's not just having her head in the clouds. ]
