Not to add to the increasing load but I've another round of questions for everyone.
First of all, I'm sure everyone's been acquainted with the currency here. Chroma 🌑️ and Demichroma️ 🌓️. The people here seem very fond of the moon! Good taste (everywhere, honestly, LOVE the neon look 💙)
Who here has really gone through this thing? The bracelet they've given us, I mean. It's rather robust, I'm a big fan personally and might be working on a few things already. 🤫
Right - The point! Sorry. What I'm getting to is how many of you have been checking your banks?
Follow up: Rough estimate, how much do you have? Don't share the number, that's terrible security, dear God I'm leveling with you as a cybersecurity expert all I need is whether it's single, double, or triple digits
2nd follow up: Have any of you been doing any kind of work?
3rd, final follow up: Have you noticed when/where your balance goes up?
I'll go 1st: Triple #, no work, I may have a... few working theories

[They certainly asked enough of them when she first arrived.]

... Is this connected to how touching others seems to be an energy boost? It seemed like the easiest way to help people out after the vines was to hug them. I passed quite a few of those out to locals.

God it's nice to find another clever mind able to put the pieces together. Given the boosts, the emphasis the locals have put on physical connections, the theme of the festival (granted, it IS the only one we've seen so far) the invasive nature of the questioning, their choice of literature...

[Pardon her all caps but she's been chewing on this for days trying to figure out just how everything is connected up.]
I knew there had to be some reason for all of the emphasis. I mean, they passed out lipgloss that made people want to kiss you. And the scientists were pretty focused in their questioning.
[So with that bit about Chroma rising and falling, she thinks she's worked this out somewhat.]
So physical contact directly influences how much Chroma you have. If that's the case, is all physical contact equal? Because a hug helped way more than a handshake. And some people were doling out kisses as well.

The chocolate fountain had a few effects of its own as well, to say nothing of the leading questions of the compatibility game.
That's certainly the next question. Not to seem crude, but experimentation should probably be conducted at some point for consistency.

I completely agree. Even the most basic of trial and error ought to show us how much basic interactions are technically worth. The touch of a finger versus a handshake versus a hug, things like that.
[Speaking of crude though... ah what the cactus, the scientists were blunt and if they're going to figure things out, she's going to have to dive in too.]
As far as anything beyond the basics and dealing with more sexual topics, that would have to be something conducted over time. I'm going to be blunt and forgive me for this but I wouldn't mind seeing a breakdown of those too.

[For obvious enough reasons.]

It might be something best shelved for now and looked into later once we've been here for a while. If we're even here that long, of course.

Can't argue with you there. The problem is getting anyone to talk about it out loud.
Or type about it.
Maybe anonymous contributions? That's hard to control though - a valuable lesson we've all learned from the internet.

[She knows the basics of getting around the memory machines. She won't exactly flounder at trying to work most technology but anything in-depth is left to Neil.]
So it's either rely on others or anonymous contributions. I guess I could just do it myself eventually. It would ensure the validity of the data anyhow.
