[The video opens on two figures standing outside a circus tent. Grimm is hard to mistake for anyone else, and it should be no surprise to those who know him to see Mike Morton at a circus.]

Greetings to you all, my fellow Moonblessed. We are pleased to announce the opening of the Lacewing Circus as a permanent attraction in Lower Lunatia. We hope that all who have an interest will come to one of our performances, occurring every Saturday and Sunday at five PM.

Ever wanted to see someone defy gravity? Well now you can! Swing on by for acrobatics, trapeze acts, and tightrope walking galore! It’s a scene you wouldn’t want to miss— guaranteed! But don’t just take my word for it. Come see with your own eyes! Just don’t let this momentous occasion pass you by.

[Mike pops up out of the parting bow fast and points at the camera. One last thing:]

…But wait! That’s not all. We’re also taking your applications! So? Don’t be shy. Show us what you’ve got.

[ Peter can't say he recognizes any of the people on the screen but some of his friends had mentioned Grimm a couple of time and he's been curious about the...man? God? Whatever he is. ]

A Circus! I haven't seen one since I was 8 years old. I don't have any skill worthy of a place like that but I'll come check it out for sure.

The more the merrier. I hope it will live up to your memories of the experience.

At home I was the leader of a troupe. I suppose I missed my old employment.

Oh like a ringmaster? I totally understand how it is to miss doing something you're good at, trust me. I suppose you also miss your troupe just as much as I miss my disaster team.

Name's Peter Quill, by the way, Guardian of the Galaxy. Not like that seems to matter much around here.

More than anything. I am lucky to have my child here with me, but the rest of my companions I miss dearly. Grimm, of the Grimm Troupe.

[ Peter's smile turns sympathetic and he gives a nod. This is an all too familiar feeling of loss. ]

I'm glad you have your kid with you. What's his name? My girlfriend is here but the rest of my family are god knows where now, lost in space. I can only hope they're not getting into more trouble than they could handle.

Peter Quill, a pleasure to meet you. I think one of my friends might have mentioned you before. Do you know Persephone? Or perhaps it was Katsuki...

Their name is Grimmchild, until they are old enough to inherit the title of Grimm from me.

[Don't worry about it, it's a big thing.]

I have met both Persephone and Katsuki, yes. I hope they had good things to say?

That is actually very cute. But if you had another kid, what would that one be named?

That is a question with a complicated answer.

[Although the short version is 'he wouldn't have another child unless something went terribly wrong'.]

Dude....that sounds sick. As in, awesome. Can you make fire then? Or give people nightmares?

[He has to die to ensure his first kid's survival. A second kid would probably end up starving.]

I can do both, though I try to avoid giving nightmares without cause.

[Just because he's a god of nightmares doesn't mean he has to be mean about it.]

[ That's a really impractical way of reproducing. And doesn't sound fun at all :c ]

Can I ask how it works? You're like the boogie man who punishes people for misbehaving then?

[ Peter is aware that having dangerous power doesn't always mean that the person using them is evil, so that's why he asks for clarification. He's not judging, just curious. ]

The nightmare realm is an essential part of the world. There are things best left there and not allowed to haunt the waking mind.

I see. A bit freaky but still cool. Is there' a 'Please dreams' realm too?

Indeed there is. Its ruler is far less benevolent than I.

So the God in charge of the Nightmare real is nice while the one ruling over the Dreamland is a jackass? One would expect things to be the opposite, no offense.

I've met plenty of assholes god sin my life, so it's not that surprising to hear.

Lucky that you had the opportunity to see a circus performance at a young age. They're just as exciting for adults, you'll find!

We didn't see a lot of exciting things on the side of Missouri I lived in and circus are pretty impressive when you're 8 years old. So yes, I have fond memories of them. I'm sure you won't disappoint.

Can I ask what's your circus act? Or you're just organizing and handling the behind the curtain stuff?

Mike Morton! Previous star acrobat at the Hullabaloo- and now at Lacewing! I've got all kinds of extraordinary feats under my belt.

[ Mike taps a finger against his mouth as he leans towards the camera. As if he's coyly sharing a secret. He isn't. ]

But truth be told I'll always be fond of juggling the most! It was the very first thing I learned to do as a tyke after all.

Don't worry about it, I forgot too. Nice to meet you, Mike. I'm Peter Quill but around space they know me as Star-Lord. ever heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy? [ He always asks just in case the rest of his team is around and he hasn't found them yet. Peter has faith. ]

Can't say I've ever heard about the Hullabaloo before, sorry. Ohhh juggling is an art that takes a lot of skill and concentration, I look forward to seeing you perform. Are you and Mr. Grimm from the same world?

Star-Lord— ! Now that's a title. But I'm sorry to say I've never heard of any galaxy guardians.

You can't just bring up space and not have it pique my interest. You do mean space-space, don't you? The actual galaxy? No metaphors to be had here?

[ He smiles at that. Someone who doesn't immediately mock is name is always bound to make Peter happy. ]

Thank you! And that's sadly expected. No one seems to have heard of us, which means the rest of my team might not have arrived at the planet.

Nothing brings people closer than similar interests. Hah, yes the actual Galaxy. If you have questions about the big blue space, I can answer the without issue. I've been living up there since I was 8 years old.

I do! I have so many questions, in fact. How did you live up there for so long? How did you even get there in the first place!! Isn't that impossible? You're not just pulling my leg here, are you?

[ Yeah so about time periods and all that. ]

[ Good for Mike, Peter's usually very friendly on the regular, if a little weird. But who wouldn't be, after the life he's had. ]

When I was eight years old a group of aliens came to Earth and kidnapped me, they were space pirates and smugglers. I grew up with them, traveling from one side of the Galaxy to the other since we lived on the ship.

Interplanetary travel wasn't all that common when I was little either but other planets had far more advanced tech than Earth. Very much like Lunatia. And no, I promise I am not lying.

[ Ask away kid, he doesn't mind. He's used to explaining this stuff all the time. ]
