I understand that there are some among us who have died back in whatever world they may have come from.

As a point of morbid curiosity, what are we supposing happens to those like that when they're removed from this world? Do they simply cease to exist?

I suppose that's possible. Even with as many displaced "moonblessed" there are here, I wouldn't be surprised if not a one of them could reverse-engineer a reliable solution.

Nothing is really "reliable" when half of it works on glorified fairy tale magic.

Unless you're familiar with magic already, all of it is unreliable against what technologies you're used to.

I can tell you how to take apart a machine gun and put it back together again in working order without hesitation, but if that machine gun is powered by magic bullets or crystallized mechanisms or requires a deep bond of love and friendship with your squadmate in order to fire, any reliability in my skills is shot.

What I'm saying is that even if it seems to be straightforward, logic probably won't apply, anyway.

If you're just talking about how pointless it is, dead people wouldn't be my first choice to provide life to a dying place, but it doesn't seem like a big obstacle here.

Okay

I think...
I think that's the most important thing
How you feel

I'm not good at explaining
And I can't pretend to understand your feelings
But I'm glad that you have the second chance you wanted
And that you have someone you know
Who can see you again too

I see.

[So she is not the only one. But who can say how similar their individual situations are.]

What determines who and what returns in your world?

I'd hope if they believed it'd be by choice, they'd let us know in the future. I'm not terribly optimistic about that, though. Inter-dimensional travel is probably very tricky, and you don't want to get it wrong and trap someone somewhere.

I know I probably wouldn't risk it and would take my chances. The worst that can happen is you live here until you've lived out your life and die. Or get crystallized.
