Greetings, fellow travelers! Or captives. Or whatever you choose to call this strange little commune we've found ourselves in.

I am Sypha, a Speaker and an adventuring scholar. I'm one of the crop of recent arrivals, so I thought it would make sense to introduce myself. Most people seem to use this board for personal advertisements and posing profound existential questions. This isn't...not that, but it's a bit of something different, too.

I'm looking for help with my scholarly pursuits, and I'd like to to learn more about this place. Specifically, how it used to be. I get the impression that very few records from that time have survived, if any at all, but if you know where to find information that could help me start to piece it all together, I would greatly appreciate the assistance from our city elders. 😉

If you don't have knowledge of primary sources, I'll also gladly listen to any local legends you might have heard. Strange as it seems, there may well be a grain of truth hidden in every off-the-wall story. Heck, if you have any boogeymen from your own worlds you're eager to chat about, I suppose I can listen to those stories, too! Not that studying can't be exciting, but it'd be nice to have something else to do while I'm here.

So! Ancient history, local legends, distractions from daily chaos...or perhaps other things you think may be important! If any of those sound like something you'd know about, and you're willing to share, I'm eager to collaborate.

aight so here goes
back in the days of a very new planet influenced by a great many paradox timelines there were what we liked to call editors they were men of great wisdom and great purpose fueled by being a race of peoples described as white knights
their want to talk to people about cosmic events and the meanings of life though being misunderstood were widely speculated on
no one knew just where they had come from or where they were situated but they seemed to be able to congregate from afar without much provocation if there was a damsel in distress
some speculated it was an inner switch and that were all capable and just some of us never switched on
they have elder gods within their ranks only able to be noticed by their head wear and their secret method of tipping it in ways that only got passed down from generation to generation
for our purposes lets call them r-edditors these eldergods
there was a great war between the mortals of the realm the uneducated few where they tried to pass us on this knowledge but in their opinions we just werent ready for this kind of view
we didnt have the same capacity as these gods among men and to this day some people still say theyre tipping fedoras to one another on the streets unbeknownst to us in their secret society still trying to this day to protect the women of their communities and simultaneously never being able to do anything but that
they live solitary loner lives learning the ways of the sword
even still some say that if you listen close enough
you can hear the sounds of anime and god on their sides
