HELLO EVERYONE!!!
i have failed to introduce myself properly to the masses and i must say this is VERY SHAMEFUL OF ME (β β>β β½ β<β β) my name is suoh tamaki and it's a pleasure to acquaint myself with whoever is here to read this.
to cut to the chase, i have taken quite an economic downgrade being here, and this is certainly a cultural shift for me...and the setting is a sci-fi one, to boot! i would like to take advantage of the situation to the best of my ability and go about making a fun list of β€ FUN ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMON FOLK β€ i'd like to partake in.
common things i would like to do while here:
βΆ wait in an impossibly long line
βΆ become gainfully employed (though nothing too grueling or isolated, thank you)
βΆ try out various versions of the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich
βΆ play a recorder
βΆ take some form of public transit
if you can help me in any of these endeavors i would be MUCH OBLIGED or if perhaps you would like to make one of these a group activity...the more the merrier!! ( Λβ£Λ)β‘(Λβ£Λ )
AS AN ASIDE: i have decided i will be committing myself to a food sampling project involving common tea drinks. here is a little sample of one:
i will be posting these reviews somewhat regularly if you are interested! β‘( β‘βΏβ‘ ) au revoir !

MANGO DRINK: perhaps the worst thing i have tasted in a long time. i was under the impression this was a tea drink. it is not tea.
PROS: the colour is nice, but not one i would consumer on the regular. there is certainly a sweetness to it, but my teeth felt awful after consumption.
CONS: everything else. to the common folk reading this, this is not what a mango tastes like <(οΏ£ οΉ οΏ£)> once i receive regular funds, i will buy mangos for you to try if you have never. i am TRULY SADDENED that a company has tricked you into believing this is a similar taste in any regard.
i will be posting these reviews somewhat regularly if you are interested! β‘( β‘βΏβ‘ ) au revoir !

Welcome to the city! I wouldn't mind helping you out with a couple of the things on your list. I cook a lot so I can introduce a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and other foods like that. I wrote down a couple of my favorite restaurants and dishes too, if you want to try them.

and please give me any recommendations you have. i haven't been here very long and haven't had much chance to adventure.

Oh he is? That's great, let me know what he's interested in trying too and I can find some places we can visit to try it.
There are some really good places that are on the first floor. What are you interested in trying? Hamburgers? Pizza? Noodles? I wouldn't mind showing you around or giving you recommendations.

i certainly don't want to overwhelm you at all, but i'm honestly interested in any sort of food around here. it's all quite fascinating, and esepcially being on a different planet as we are now. what must a hamburger be like here?? it might shock me!

oh no I'll be fine! I really enjoy food and going around trying everything has been really fun. I'll show you my journal that has a lot of my notes from different restaurants around here and it's always growing! that would be great to try! the hamburgers here are pretty good, but i'd love to know how different they are from your world.
What other foods do you want to try?

a journal! how magnificent! i'd greatly appreciate any notes you have to share, as i plan on doing something similar when i go out before fleshing out my written posts.
i have only had a few hamburgers not home-prepared, so getting used to the fast food variety...i'm sure it will upset my stomach, but there are sacrifices one must make.
in terms of other food i'm curious about: i'm very interested in seeing what this place has in terms of high quality pastries. i'm not only a foodie when it comes to the food of the working man. i'd like to think there are some elegant bakeries and cafes here as well.

no problem! i have it separated on the different kinds of food i've tried!
oh no, we'll have to find foods that don't make your stomach hurt. when we find one I'll make sure to write it down so i won't pick it again
well, after we try out some food i wouldn't mind showing you how to cook. i cook a lot back home so i've been trying out different recipes from the cookbooks here. they have some really good ones!
there are some really good bakeries here! i haven't filled out that page yet i wouldn't mind going to try out those cafes i've walked past on my way home. there's one bakery i think you would really love. they have a lot of pastries with homemade frosting and fillings!

and on that note, i am also looking into honing my cooking skills. i feel like success in the kitchen would be quite simple with some understanding of what to do. it's a bit like a list of rules mixed with science, no? so following directions and measuring things can't be that hard.
β° and yet he's fucked it up every time. β±
tomorrow morning i think i'll use my remaining chroma to visit one of these bakeries. if you're free, then i wouldn't mind company. i haven't had a decent pastry since i came here!
