HELLO EVERYONE!!!

i have failed to introduce myself properly to the masses and i must say this is VERY SHAMEFUL OF ME (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄) my name is suoh tamaki and it's a pleasure to acquaint myself with whoever is here to read this.

to cut to the chase, i have taken quite an economic downgrade being here, and this is certainly a cultural shift for me...and the setting is a sci-fi one, to boot! i would like to take advantage of the situation to the best of my ability and go about making a fun list of ❤ FUN ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMON FOLK ❤ i'd like to partake in.

common things i would like to do while here:

▶ wait in an impossibly long line
▶ become gainfully employed (though nothing too grueling or isolated, thank you)
▶ try out various versions of the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich
▶ play a recorder
▶ take some form of public transit

if you can help me in any of these endeavors i would be MUCH OBLIGED or if perhaps you would like to make one of these a group activity...the more the merrier!! ( ˘⌣˘)♡(˘⌣˘ )

AS AN ASIDE: i have decided i will be committing myself to a food sampling project involving common tea drinks. here is a little sample of one:

MANGO DRINK: perhaps the worst thing i have tasted in a long time. i was under the impression this was a tea drink. it is not tea.

PROS: the colour is nice, but not one i would consumer on the regular. there is certainly a sweetness to it, but my teeth felt awful after consumption.

CONS: everything else. to the common folk reading this, this is not what a mango tastes like <(￣ ﹌ ￣)> once i receive regular funds, i will buy mangos for you to try if you have never. i am TRULY SADDENED that a company has tricked you into believing this is a similar taste in any regard.

i am in fact very genuine in this anthropological research.

i have all the time in the world on my hands now to expand upon my horizons, and expand i must!!

okaaay, i guess so.

but why do you want to try waiting in line? an "impossibly long" line?that sounds so boring.

the experience might be one that is totally mindnumbing, but! i've found that a lot foods and experiences the average person eat or go through aren't necessarily positive.

i would like to still go through the experience to see what it is truly like, understanding the patience and persistence that it takes to stand in a line for minutes on end -- perhaps an hour if it's truly an egregious one.

the only way i ever wait that long is if the food is really that good. like everyone is praising it everywhere good.

if you're going to do that, get a friend. at least you have someone to talk with.

then that means it's certainly worth it! i'd love to wait in a line if that was what was waiting at the end of it -- think of the anticipation!

i want to know what kind of food it is first. it is my free time after all, i want to make sure it's something i might try.

if it's something i haven't try, i'll consider it.

i tried a lot of things that shows up on prismagram if they look good.

so probably anything new and not japanese.

i would say that there must be some space food here that is new and unique, but so far there's been an uncanny amount of standard earth cuisine. the integration of cultures, perhaps!

i would recommend perhaps some french cuisine. oh, or thai and indian food if you're at all familiar. returning to french food, though, it feels very standard a suggestion, but i could always go for a well-folded crepe.

i definitely noticed that! it's kind of nice seeing familiar things, like sushi here. sometimes some of them taste a little different from what i remember. probably because it's made from their local ingredients and style.

not that familiar with them. but i know crepe! they're that thin pancake wrap, right?

yes! i prefer a crêpes sucrées, which is the sweeter kind. i suggest apricot and strawberries as a topping, with some dark chocolate drizzle. i've also been partial to lingonberries as of late, though have yet to try them as a crepe topping.

my overall recommendation for you! i would try as many new things as possible while here. it's perhaps not the most ideal experience we have on our hands, but that's one way to make the best of it. i'm sure if there are sushi and crepes on this planet, a grilled prawn coconut salad is right around the corner!
