HELLO EVERYONE!!!
i have failed to introduce myself properly to the masses and i must say this is VERY SHAMEFUL OF ME (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄) my name is suoh tamaki and it's a pleasure to acquaint myself with whoever is here to read this.
to cut to the chase, i have taken quite an economic downgrade being here, and this is certainly a cultural shift for me...and the setting is a sci-fi one, to boot! i would like to take advantage of the situation to the best of my ability and go about making a fun list of ❤ FUN ACTIVITIES OF THE COMMON FOLK ❤ i'd like to partake in.
common things i would like to do while here:
▶ wait in an impossibly long line
▶ become gainfully employed (though nothing too grueling or isolated, thank you)
▶ try out various versions of the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich
▶ play a recorder
▶ take some form of public transit
if you can help me in any of these endeavors i would be MUCH OBLIGED or if perhaps you would like to make one of these a group activity...the more the merrier!! ( ˘⌣˘)♡(˘⌣˘ )
AS AN ASIDE: i have decided i will be committing myself to a food sampling project involving common tea drinks. here is a little sample of one:
i will be posting these reviews somewhat regularly if you are interested! ♡( ◡‿◡ ) au revoir !

MANGO DRINK: perhaps the worst thing i have tasted in a long time. i was under the impression this was a tea drink. it is not tea.
PROS: the colour is nice, but not one i would consumer on the regular. there is certainly a sweetness to it, but my teeth felt awful after consumption.
CONS: everything else. to the common folk reading this, this is not what a mango tastes like <( ̄ ﹌ ̄)> once i receive regular funds, i will buy mangos for you to try if you have never. i am TRULY SADDENED that a company has tricked you into believing this is a similar taste in any regard.
i will be posting these reviews somewhat regularly if you are interested! ♡( ◡‿◡ ) au revoir !

the invitation is open, but i am familiar with this mango lassi you speak of! i love a good yogurt drink, and find it especially tasteful with some added saffron. i'd like to see if they serve them around here somewhere.

That's a commoner drink, you know. At least in the sense it's a drink of the common people.
I like mine with rosewater. :)

for the record, i've had a lot of things that i think most would consider to be common food, just of a different variety. so it's very fun and intriguing to me to see the difference between what i've had in the past versus what is more consumed by the masses.

I can't very well say what's popular or not. I would say fast food?
Generally I'm on a pretty strict diet.
Although... you used a French goodbye. Is it French where you are from, as well?

it now occurs to me that perhaps as we come from different places, perhaps some exist where france isn't even a country, so i suppose it's not that odd a question to want to ask, as sad as it might make me.

There is a man who speaks the language, but is from a country I've never heard of.
So, you're not wrong.

and another interesting thing -- i can't imagine a world in which french exists, but france does not. and how many other cultural differences may exist there...and other countries/languages that the same formula would apply to.
it's really quite surreal, all of this. it's hard to know what to think about first.

The language wasn't called French, but the words were the same. It's interesting, but I agree. I'm curious how many others exist.
Hard enough being here, yeah?
no subject
i'm sure after i've been here some time it will become more natural to me, but it's all quite shocking so far. it's hard enough being plopped into what feels like an entirely different dimension. taking into account there are hundreds of people here who could come from just as many different galaxies is a lot to take in.

It gets easier. Been here almost a year myself and it all becomes second nature.
Which I understand you may not necessarily want.
But there's always a chance you'll head off home tomorrow, at least.

almost a year, hmm? it's good to hear that it feels like it gets easier as time passes. it can't be helped, after all. there's something unsettling about how unknown it all is.
but! that also means that basically any day can be an adventure! (ง ื▿ ื)ว when in a new world, one should take advantage of it to the fullest! think of all the exploring of the unknown there is to do!
❰ you can tell exactly when he noticed the mask was slipping, oops ❱

I understand that quite well. My work involves travel, so it's a bit strange to be stuck in one place for so long.
Ha ha. You're not wrong, I guess!
Just remember to stay safe, especially around Sanguis moon. Some of us (including me) can get pretty aggressive!
:)
