(A familiar face, perhaps? Drogon is bigger than he was before, much too big to perch on her shoulder and his expressions are easier to see. Can a Dragon be worried? He certainly looks it, his low growls rumbling, unsure, at his mother's side.)
I feel like I saw this place in a dream. (The sensation of rain pouring down, blurring the lines of the buildings and washing the ash from her clothes forces her to breathe.) Is this what awaits everyone? Are these the Night Lands?
(She glances at Drogon, his eyes flaring fire bright.)
I must be alive. Unless you have learned how to fly far indeed! (Bending down, breaking herself out of her frozen state, she caresses her boy's scaly cheek.)
Does anyone recognize us?

[ Of course the fire demon would prefer flames, but that's not the point right now. He's entertained a question or two, but the little red-eyed apparition is much more intent on the dragon, there. It reminds him of the one he's keeping, so he can't help but ask - ]

For me, yes. [ But he's a demon so that's a whole other pack of worms. Plus, Hiei just isn't a fan of contact or relying on it. This is basically a worse hell than one with fire for him. ]

My partner and I have two. I was wondering the best way to get them to fly.

Three males, one in green, one in gold and the last, this boy, in black. All of them were raised by me. (They are so bright. Plus she is a Targaryen and that sort of thing runs in her family's blood.)
Are they stretching their wings? Flapping them? They must practice and build up those muscles before they can carry their body weight.

This .. currency via physicality is not what I appreciate. As a demon .. apparition, whatever you want to call it - we do not trust anyone other than those closest to us that close except to fight.

They will fly soon. It's in their nature; when they are ready it will happen.

Yes. [ it’s weirdly nice to just be able to throw that out there these days. Back in his probation days he’d had to pretend to be normal whilst having claws and little pointed ears.
He turns for a moment, a plant in his nearby vicinity shifting for some unknown reason that he doesn’t elaborate on, and ends up showing the latter. ]
Do you come from a place with particularly blood thirsty humans, or something?

Yes. (Bloodthirsty is putting it nicely. In the East and on Westeros, there are assassins and murderers and thieves around every turn. And some of them masquerade as kings.)

Not unique, really. So blood thirsty for a group that’s weaker than a grey demon. But many are just as stupid, so it makes sense.

Talons don't frighten me. (Nor do sharp Dragon teeth.) Drogon was larger than some buildings before we came here. I rode on his back easily.

I wouldn’t be opposed. Perhaps it would give Coal something better to do than bite at my arms and insist I be a climbing post at all times.

Teach them to kneel at your command. Otherwise you will have difficulty climbing onto their back.
(Eventually Dragons are smart enough to realize the necessity of leaning down. Their riders are small.)

Yes. They are my partner's plants. They can be rather curious. [ And are attracted to Hiei's naturally high body temperature, at that. Or he's being lowkey asked to stop chit-chatting and come pay attention to a certain redhead, but Hiei is ignoring that for now, even as one begins to curiously wrap around his bicep. ]
It seems I have a lot to teach them, for when they are larger.
[ But he sort of expected that, if he's honest. Hiei gives a chuckle as she says he sounds spirited, the sound something fond for Hiei even if it doesn't quite sound it. ]
There is also the matter of Kirby.. who is not quite as spirited as her companion. Though you could say she is spirited in different ways.

Teach them to fly, to hunt, to listen to your commands. A lot of it comes naturally as you spend your days raising them. I didn't know what I was doing with my three, but I learned.
(There is a softness to her expression as she listens. She would love to hold baby Dragons again.)

Hunting I think may be the biggest challenge. At least here in Lunatia. Which is why I have been thinking they may need to go back and be among their own.

She should do well with the bigger Dragons. I can't say if they are accepting of their own kind. All I know is, in my world, Dragons fought one another in arenas.

It’s a particular flame I absorbed, in my world. The hottest flame of all the worlds .. a hell fire. [ Hiei picks his wrapped arm up a bit higher for her to see, though the wrappings still cover the tattoo that rests just under them. ]
It stays warded, most of the time. Though I absorbed it, it is precocious and will take whatever it wants, when it wants. So until it is mastered .. [ the little fire demon shrugs. He’d nearly lost that arm to obtain the dragon, so it isn’t like he wasn’t aware of the possible ramifications of it all. But it was power he wanted, and power he would get. ]
That is the odd thing, about humans. They like to watch suffering, but even more if it’s beasts they can put against one another.
It sounds like the Dark Tournament, but less enjoyable by virtue of unwilling participants.

I would like to see it used. (Why hide her interest?) Something like that would be of great use in my world. My ancestors rode on the backs of Dragons and used their fire to forge their kingdom. I can see now that said fire wasn't enough to stave off usurpers and...

If it becomes available to me you can be sure you'll see it. [ He's gained the ability to use the dragon multiple times without having to hibernate, lately, so given the chance he will absolutely unleash it on Lunatia. He's just waiting on the chance to present itself, mostly.

But I have known many people who have been called or could be called mad, or tyrannical, but the story, in the end, was very different than the perceptions they had chosen to build and project around them. Powerful beings are as much the stories that surround them as they are themselves.
[ Here, he thinks of Mukuro. A demoness so powerful in her hatred of others and her anger that she had forged a fearsome reputation as a murderous tyrant. Even Kurama had told him so. But the demoness he had come to know was far from that, once he had learned more about her. ]
