Uh, do you want it to be about a person because then I'll need at least a bit to think or do you want to hear about the time, when I met my polar bear dog?

Okay, a little about my home first because then you'll know some terms. I come from a world, where some people can control Water, Fire, Earth and Air. We call it bending, so waterbending, airbending and so on. Most benders can only control one element, mostly they're born to do it even if it may take time for them to even notice their skill. Most people there are non-benders, who don't have any of those skills and benders and non-benders live together all around the world. Then there's me, they call me the Avatar and I can bend all the elements but there's only one Avatar in every generation.

[ And now storytime... Or first part of it at least...]

So, this happened way back when I was very little and still very new to any bending stuff. My waterbending master, that's what we call our teachers, was teaching me some first calm and slow steps to waterbending. Then I accidentally threw a huge pile of snow on her, when I got a liiiiiittle carried away and didn't know my own strength. She was fine, she laughed at it, though my parents weren't happy about it. We had to stop training for that day anyway because there was a storm coming, so she went home.

The storm started, it was very late, we could hear what sounded like a whole pack of polar bear dogs howling. Now, polar bear dogs are extremely dangerous, wild animals, so my parents were really worried and said the bears could eat me with just one bite... Me? I told my parents I want to go play with them because they don't scare me. Surprisingly they said those animals should scare me and told me not to go anywhere.

But my parents fell asleep pretty soon after that and I really, really couldn't sleep. I just kept listening to that howling and I couldn't resist it at all, so I sneaked out all alone into the dark night of the South Pole...

[ She's telling a story, so Taichi is attentively paying attention. Like a kid, he even gulps as she starts talking about sneaking out in the dark. This is so dramatic!! ]

[ So dramatic sounds like the summary of Avatar life in general. The story continues...!]

Out there I go, all alone into the stormy, dark night with nothing else than endless amounts of snow around me... I start howling too to call the polar bear dogs to come play with me!

[Howling sounds like a great idea, when they'd attack her as soon as they'd find her!! Offscreen sound; rushing polar bear dog steps towards Korra as soon as Naga hears the word PLAY! Yes, Korra knew she'd do that.]

I climb on top of a huge pile of snow to see what's on the other side and there's one polar bear dog! I get all excited and rush to her as fast as I can. And she's just a small cub, who looks very lonely and sad, so I ask if she's lost but she's just growling at me to stay away from her. So, I tell her that I'm not scary, I'm friendly and offer her some fish jerky. She calms down and gets curious as soon as she sees food, we close the distance between us slowly with her pace... And she takes the fish because she is not scary, she's just hungry.

[ Funny how it's been years and she still remembers the whole thing as if it happened a moment ago.]

I try to get her to play with me but she's just so confused even when I try to imitate a dog there too. But no, she begins howling again and I realize, that even I don't know where we are, where I came from or where I should go to return home. So, we're both lost now! She lets me pet her, when I tell not to fear or worry, either way, because I can save us! I make a little snow cave for us with my waterbending and we stay there for the night. And it's cold, my firebending doesn't work because I wasn't good at it yet but she tickles me with kisses on my hand to say it's fine... Eventually we fall asleep cuddling with each other there.

My extremely worried parents find us in the next morning, while my waterbending Master is amused by my adventures... And I tell them that I wasn't alone, I had Naga with me, and continue with the same breath that she got lost from her pack, so she needs a new family now, can I keep her? We're both smiling at them and they can't say no. Not even, when they know it's going to be like having two hyperactive puppies running around in a small home all the time no matter how much energy we spent running and playing outside too right after from that moment on.

[And now she's picking the tiny polar bear dog from the floor to smile at the camera too. Korra gives a few kisses to her cheek before she raises one of Naga's front paws to wave a hello at the boy too!]

So, that's how we've been inseparable ever since we met and she's the only tame polar bear dog and one of my best friends.

[ Taichi is decidedly distracted during part of the story because the polar bear dog in question is on the video like hello????? But then the story gets scary for a bit and he's fully paying attention, and then the polar doggo is there, up close, not just in the background of the video. ]

That's such a scary story, you two could've been in big trouble! But you made it through! That's what they call "bonding through adversity"!! Amazing!
