We're all stuck inside if we aren't going off to battle, right? Everyone leftover, let's have a rain night party! Ahhh but we can't get over because of the rain right? Hm...

[ He snaps his fingers in excitement, then grins. ]

Put all the condiments on the asparagus and eat it.

[ He looks horrified. Why are you like this Hikaru!!

But Taichi is nothing if not stupidly dedicated to fulfilling his role. He takes a deep breath and holds it as he gets the stuff out of the fridge. And holds it for some reason while he gets out a bowl to mix all of the condiments together in? Then seems to remember to breathe at some point as he starts mixing the squirted condiments together with the asparagus (because why waste utensils? he doesn't want to do more dishes). ]

I'm going to do it! I'm going to do it Hikaru-kun!!

[ He's yelling at Hikaru, but he's trying to hype himself up honestly. ]

I'M DOING IT!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH-- OMN!

[ He's.. he's chewing.. and he's whining while he chews. This is the worst. ]

[irritated]

[Taichi, this is tame. This is really bad if this is what's getting to you.

But at least Hikaru is completely amused as he laughs in earnest.] Your face! Your face is so good!

[This is the happiest he's been since this storm started so thanks, Taichi.]

[ Taichi likes to enjoy food! He loves junk food, not this nightmare! He has something to add to his official list of disliked foods! He'll make them list it on his web profile! ]

UGGGHHHHH! Never again! One bite is too much already!

[ ...Buuut seeing Hikaru look that happy is kind of worth it? He doesn't say that. ]

[irritated]

Hey! You have to eat the whole thing! Girls don't like a chicken~

[Is it low to bring in his weakness for wanting girls to like him against him? Yes.

But that's just Hikaru's style and he needs some amusement.]

You didn't say the whole thing before! Ugh, I'm gonna throw up...

[ He sniffs dramatically and then gets a determined look on his face again. ]

If I eat it all at once it'll only be one more big bite!

[ He doesn't waste another second and tries to shove the whole thing in his mouth. He probably won't be able to talk for a bit because he's going to be chewing for a while... Chewing and crying. ]

[irritated]

[But hey, he's clapping.] Go, go, go Taichi! You can do it! [If he did end up throwing up, he would feel kind of bad but he would also laugh. He's just that kind of brat.

But he would feel bad!!

Once Taichi is done with it, he lets out a loud cheer.] You did it! See? Look what you can do when you set your mind to it.

[That Hikaru literally made him do.]

[ Being cheered for definitely helps him make it through it. He feels energized by the cheers and chews more vigorously, and when he finally swallows a slightly-too-big gulp he puts both of his fists up in the air in a giant V for victory. ]

I DID I--

[ belch.

Okay, now he's blushing embarrassedly and lowers his hands to scratch the back of his head. ]

[irritated]

Ew.

[He has a straight face for all of one moment before he's laughing. Good thing he isn't so easily grossed out.] See? That wasn't so bad.

[His face takes on a more sinister turn.] For now.

[arf]

[ He lets out a high-pitched "hee" sound like he's scared, but then grins. ]

Maybe. If I'm in the bathroom all day tomorrow I'm calling you from the toilet for this!

[ They're teenage boys, Taichi isn't afraid to threaten to be gross. He won't actually do it though, he has some sense of dignity. ]

Have you ever eaten something that's made you burp like that? Like you got so excited and ate too fast or something...

[irritated]

If you video call me I'm not answering! [Except he probably still would because it's really very hard to truly disgust a Hitachiin.

When asked about the second thing, he immediately answers:] Yeah, Kaoru and I had eating contests all the time. Besides, it's really funny to see what the grossest thing you can eat is just to see how people react.

[That asparagus and condiments thing was nothing compared to some of the other mixtures Hikaru has come up with.] But it isn't so easy to gross the staff out anymore...[There's a sigh. He does miss his house staff even if it's just for the sake of having a house staff.]

No way, no way, it's embarrassing to be on video like that!

[ He gestures back and forth with his hand like that's the whole reason he should dismiss that idea. Because Hikaru could blackmail him with a video or something... ]

Staff? [ He still doesn't really understand how rich Hikaru is, honestly. ] Hm.. like underlings? [ Like Sakoda is to Sakyo, this is normal, right.. Or like in their mafia play... Taichi doesn't know how the rich ppl live, ok. ]

[irritated]

[Hikaru could blackmail him with it. It's true. Would Hikaru do it? No. Taichi is fun to tease but he really is a little too pure to go that far with. There's a limit!]

House staff. Like maids, cooks, drivers, butlers, and the like? [He hasn't really told Taichi how rich he is and it kind of doesn't occur to him that that is something he needs to tell people. People find out his name is Hitachiin and people just know who he is.

Besides, he never interacted with the average person until Haruhi and this is still a learning experience!]

Ehhh?!

[ He looks positively surprised. He really had no idea. ]

I thought those only existed on TV. That's cool. Hehe, I come from the generation of part-time jobs! Though I don't have one since I'm always practicing sewing nowadays anyway, so I just stick to free stuff when I can.

[ He has a debt to pay that's more important than having spending money. ]

That's cool though. How did you used to try to gross them out? It sounds like you had fun with them!

[irritated]

[It hits him that he hasn't told Taichi anything...oops.] Uh, my mom's a famous fashion designer and my grandmother is a famous flower arranger. The Hitachiin name is a big deal. [But he tells him bluntly because it's just a fact and he may as well state it.] I sew, too, though. Part of the learning experience or something to that effect? Kaoru and I are sewing all the time here, too. We need a sewing machine. My fingers are killing me. [He's a rich boy with delicate fingers okay.] I didn't think you'd be the type to sew, though? [It's a pleasant surprise.]

Well. Once I put maple syrup in this panzanella dish? The maid who served it to me screamed and quit right on the spot! [It was more like the straw that broke the camel's back.

He had fun with the house staff but it didn't mean it was very fun for them.]

That's so cool! [ He grins sheepishly. ] If you ever need an extra set of fingers, let me know! I started recently, but I've practiced really hard and Yuki-chan might make me sleep outside if I get out of it. Ah- Yuki-chan's our costume designer for the theater. I do a lot of the minor stitching jobs so he can focus on designing and perfecting everything, but I'm getting lots of experience and I practice every day even when we're not making costumes for the other troupes. But even before that, I've always loved look at fashion mags. I had this huge pile at home, Omi-kun kept them in a neat pile for me.

[ Literally the only reason he knows what panzanella is is because his roommate cooks fancy stuff all the time for the troupe. ]

Ehh? That's not even that bad! Sweet vegetables...

[irritated]

You do costume making. Yeah, that makes sense. I guess you guys wouldn't be able to afford a costume designer. Kaoru and I did a bit of that for our Host Club. Our president always has to have a new theme. [But it's fun. Hikaru really can't complain because he's been dressing up for as long as he can remember, his mom treating him like a doll. He didn't mind it so much nor when she treated him and Kaoru like free models.

He almost says no they don't need help out of habit. But they should be opening up more and he's liked Taichi so far.] I'll keep you in mind. Wanna help model, too? [Free models are a Hitachiin staple. ]

I mean, it probably had more to do with the other stuff than just the food. Like getting into the walls and calling her name. Oh, and dyeing the rug orange. [Kind of awful but he starts snickering to himself.] It was really funny, though.

[arf]

Not a professional one anyway. Yuki-chan is young, but he's a prodigy, so they always look amaz...ing...

[ But Taichi's brain kind of freezes when he realizes Hikaru said model, because hahahaha that has to be a joke, right? He sure laughs like it is. ]

Come on, I'm nowhere near model-like!

[ Models have to be tall and handsome and possess savoir faire and a handful of other qualities that Taichi is pretty sure are decidedly not him. ]

You got into the walls? [ HOW... The rest sounds funny but Taichi is hung up on this like what how huh you can do that!??? ]

[irritated]

I already told you you're not that bad-looking, though. [It's a compliment! Even if the wording leaves a lot to be desired for.] You're not really tall but you're not that short either? You have a good height and your body isn't so bad either from what I saw. You don't have to but think about all the girls that would notice you and think you're cute~ [Modeling just isn't that big of a deal to Hikaru and having different people helps a lot.

There's a grin and he shrugs.] Secret.

[arf]

[ It's.. super tempting when he puts it that way. Taichi is definitely not his own ideal of what a model should be. ]

I don't know how to model walk either. Or walk in heels!

[ Then, as if he's somehow come up with a brilliant remedy to this situation, he looks excited and adds: ] I can ride a unicycle with a puppy though!

[ Taichi doesn't actually know anything about modeling at this point, thanks. ]

Now I really want to know!! Hehe, the pranks I could play on Ten-chan...! [ Tenma would absolutely die ]

[irritated]

[There was already something to be said about the fact that Taichi thought he had to wear heels but then he adds the unicycle bit and that is enough to make Hikaru pause...

And then burst out laughing.] Listen to you! This guy! [He wipes a tear from his eye because yes, he was laughing that hard.] You don't have to do anything. We're just going to take pictures. No catwalk here or else I could just help you learn the walk. It isn't that hard. [This might come off as a subtle brag that he's walked the catwalk but it isn't. This is just the life of a son of a famous designer.]

[arf]

Oh. I can take pictures easy!

[ Omi takes pics of them all pretty often, Taichi never really considers himself a model for them so much as Omi likes taking pics of pals. ]

Do you need to take my measurements? When we're free again. I can do them myself too but we could make chroma doing it.

[ Because it involves touching in a non-embarrassing way.. which Taichi is always looking for bc he doesn't moonlace enough at all. ]

[irritated]

Huh. Yeah, good idea. [Right now, Hikaru does nothing but moonlace with Kaoru. Usually they're clinging to one another and even if it wasn't for the chroma, they still would. But here, making chroma from it is an added perk. Especially when you're trying to start a fashion empire.

And right now, he's on the opposite end of their room because him and Kaoru keep accidentally touching. If they hadn't gone out when the rain started to get snacks then this wouldn't be happening. Frowning, he grumbles.] This place is stupid, huh? They want us to do all this touching and then it rains and this crap happens.

[arf]

No kidding! And like, I've heard bad stuff happens if you don't do it at all for a while. I've been asking people to hold my hand for 5 minutes in exchange for a 5 minute scene of their choosing since Banri disappeared and now I definitely can't do that!

[ If this lasts too long, Taichi's honestly worried he's going to turn into a crystal. He doesn't exactly have a huge store of chroma. ]

How are you holding up?

[irritated]

[He didn't know bad things happened when you didn't touch.] Bad things? Like what? How long without touching can you go? [What if this rain never stops? He starts to panic but looks at Kaoru on the other side of the room and stops. Kaoru is already so weird lately, he'll definitely react badly knowing this.

Instead he focuses on Taichi.] I'm fine now. [Upset over this whole no-touching thing but all in all if he's got Kaoru then he can make it through anything.

He almost doesn't suggest this but well Taichi was so nice to him? And this isn't a big deal. Opening up hasn't been awful. Still a struggle but...] I'll hold your hand.

[That sounds awkward but he has a straight face.]
