[ She switches to video so he can see her, with a row of mice sitting on her shoulders. ]

I'm Princess Allura.

That man decided I would be called 'Sinistra', so you may call me that, Allura.

All right, Sinistra.

[ It's definitely not "my name is" but she's not going to prod for too much information since he's already clearly uncomfortable. ]

Where should we meet up?

.... I am not good with directions. If you tell me to stand near something, I will go and stand near it until you arrive.

I see. Give me a moment.

[ Allura goes quiet as she begins to research the local area. She hasn't been here long enough to require the use of an infirmary herself, but it's not a bad idea to know where they are. After about two minutes, she sends a message to Sinistra with a location where he can 'go and stand' until she arrives. She'll lead him the rest of the way. ]

There. Is this all right? I'll be there shortly, if so.

Mm. That is fine. I can find that... I will go now.

All right, I'll see you soon.

[ It doesn't take Allura too long to arrive at the designated spot, and she has to pause for a moment in surprise. Since they'd been conversing over voice chat, she had no real idea what the young man looked like (though his voice was familiar). Spotting Sinistra, she's reminded immediately of the young man she'd spoken to not long ago who was a member of that so-called 'church.' He looks exactly the same, in fact, but that man's name had been Dextera, hadn't it? Are they siblings?

Either way, she approaches him, her mice riding along on her shoulders. ]

Are you Sinistra?

[ He is standing there, just as planned, wiping his nose repeatedly on his sleeves for lack of anything better to use. Sorry, Allura, Gross is still his middle name... not that he has a last name.

He looks up at her when he's addressed and nods his head slowly. ]

Allura...?

[lioness_rampant]

Yes, I'm Allura. [ She gestures to the mice on her shoulders, and they all squeak and wave at him. ] These are my friends. I hope you don't mind I brought them, but in stressful times, I find their presence very reassuring. I thought it might be the same for you.

[ Extending her hand, she very lightly presses the back of her palm against his forehead. It's a brief, gentle gesture. ]

How are you feeling? Are you ready to go?

[bisection]

[ He looks very fascinated with the mice almost immediately. They're just waving at him. Do animals do that? Most of the remaining 'humans' in his world don't even greet you. ]

It.. it is fine.

[ His eyes go nearly cross trying to look up at her hand. ]

A little warm, but it is mostly just fluid dripping out of my nose.

All right, then, follow me.

[ In spite of that instruction, Allura doesn't take the lead and just hope Sinistra isn't far behind. She waits for him so they can walk abreast, nearly shoulder to shoulder.

Two of the mice hop over to perch on his shoulder, in fact, chittering encouragement and patting his jaw and cheeks. ]

I'm no expert on human biology, but I doubt your condition is anything serious. Even so, it's better to have yourself checked over than to allow it to become something worse.

[ She smiles over at him as they turn a corner. The clinic is another block down, and she shows him the way. ]

Mm...

[ Sinistra does indeed follow her, trying not to get too distracted by the mice. Animals make him nervous but also fascinate him. He's having so many first interactions with different creatures, he still can't figure out how to process them. ]

I suppose that is true. I am. Not sure how well this body will hold up against such things.

All the more reason to be cautious, then.

[ His wording is still strange to her. "This body," not "my body." As if it belonged to someone else at some point? She doesn't bring it up, though; the young man seems stressed enough already.

That's why Allura takes the reins once they enter the clinic. She describes his symptoms to the friendly-looking prismal at the front desk, even going so far as to claim a familial relation to make sure she's allowed into the examination room with him.

Once they're both seated in the room, awaiting a visit from the doctor, Allur takes the mice back from Sinistra's shoulders and holds them in her lap. ]

The nurse said it shouldn't take them long to see us. How are you feeling?
