H-Hey does... has anyone seen Rei Hino recently, by any chance?

[She can't feel Rei, she can't feel their connection and she can't seem to get a hold of her.

But she doesn't want to panic.

But she's kind of panicking. Did she go home? How would Usagi be sure of that though?

Is she alone in this place?]

I can't get a hold of her and I'm just worried. So... so if someone could please just let her know Usagi is looking for her? She's not hard to miss. She's beautiful, long raven black hair and sharp violet eyes that basically know everything about you as soon as they see you. [If Rei is still here, she'll yell at Usagi for such a description, but so long as it means Rei is still here, then Usagi will happily be yelled at.]

[They reach up to her the moment she opens the door, practically jumping into Usagi's arms to help her as best they can.

All they can really do is try to comfort her. Hopefully it'll help.]

[She closes the door and then hurries to Rei- to her apartment. Trying her very best to stay composed until they get to her place.

When she gets her own apartment door closed, she slides down against it, crying softly as she rests her head on Knight's head.]

[They cuddle up against her, close as they can be, and just let her start to break down as soon as they're in her place. She can fall apart as much as she wants, they'll be right there for her.

It's anyone's guess how much that'll actually help. They know what it's like to lose a friend. A lot of friends, actually.]

I don't know what to do, Knight... I don't... I don't, I'm not good living on my own, I've never done it before. I don't know how to cook or how to- I've never paid bills or anything like that.

I'm not smart enough.

[There's so much of that they can't help with. After all, why would they need to know about cooking, or bills, or anything like that? They existed for one purpose, and it wasn't one of those.

But they could stay with her. They could wrap their arms around her and be beside her until she felt ready to confront what she had to do.

And hey, that would help with those "bills", at least. Extra Chroma and all.]

[She keeps a hold on Knight as she cries for a bit, she takes a deep breath after a while and leans her head against the door.]

Could you stay a few nights, Knight? I don't wanna be alone.

[Well, that's an easy question to answer, at least. They nod, and move to rest their head on Usagi's shoulder.]

[She keeps a hold on Knight and then leans back. She's shaking.]

Thank you. [She pet Knight's head and closes her eyes.] I've never been anywhere without someone from home, Knight.

[Well, that's something they're used to, at least. Unless one takes a very wide view of the word "home".

They pat her hand companionably. It won't be so bad, not for someone like her. Someone who can make friends so quickly and easily.]

[Usagi's too tired right now from all her crying. She picks up Knight and herself from the floor and heads into her bedroom, flopping onto the bed and just holding Knight close.]

Thank you for staying with me, Knight. I hate being alone. [It's one of her biggest fears.]

[As always, they go along easily. Anyone observing the two might think that Usagi is just playing with a stuffed doll, with how little the Knight reacts to being carried off to bed with her.

But the gentle pats they offer, the tender reassurance they give the only way they can, through touch, gives the lie to that impression. Maybe they can’t stroke her hair and whisper “there, there”.

But they can do this much.]

Honestly, Knight... I just want to go to sleep and wake up and know this was some horrible nightmare. Would you mind if I napped?

[They didn't, but they did wish they could ask if it was okay to use the Dream Nail on her. They didn't know if they could actually help if they got a better glimpse into her mind, but at least traveling through her dreams could help them get a good hold on her mental state.

But they couldn't ask, and doing it without permission... no. She'd be terribly upset with them. Deservedly so.

So all they did was shake their head and rub her shoulder gently.]

[She mumbled, eyes already heavy as she hugged him close and was nearly asleep.]

[Though they didn't need to sleep, they of course weren't going to move. They held themselves close to Usagi, and let themselves slide into a calm, tranquil state.]
