My roommate since I arrived in Lunatia one year ago, Lobco, has gone home. The apartment is terribly quiet without her, even though she was never the loud type. Strange how that happens.

I feel like everything I've experienced here, both good and bad, have made me a different person. Not necessarily better or worse, just different. I know about some things that are going to happen in my future that I think the me now would actually handle better, but I don't expect to remember any of this, sadly.

Such is an interesting consequence of others in Prismatica hailing from our futures. Though in my case, my friends were only from a few days beyond my time, so what I learned was limited.

Originally there wasn't much difference at all, but some of them went home then returned with new memories. That was when I learned of what's waiting for me.

Is it difficult? I have always known my own fate, but such is not often the case for mortals.

I'm worried about it. I'm worried I'm going to lose my own way, and worried that we're running on borrowed time.

But I also know I can't do anything about it from here. It's just something I have to experience for myself.

Heh. Thank you. Even if I can't take memories back I can hope some feelings will at least return with me.

Emotions are persistent things, in my experience. They outlive the person who felt them.

It's a rather horrifying thought.

And a painful reality for Remnant.

Such beings tend to leave enough of an impact on their own merits. The weight of their emotions is excessive, I might say.

Considering how much fear she's created just by existing I feel that even if we do, by some miracle, manage to defeat her that influence will remain long after she is gone.

That is the nature of those who take joy in spreading fear. Removing the effects of their malice takes time.
