My roommate since I arrived in Lunatia one year ago, Lobco, has gone home. The apartment is terribly quiet without her, even though she was never the loud type. Strange how that happens.

Will you remember what has transpired here when you return? Do you wish to remember?

[He doesn't respond via text: he lets his arrival speak for itself when he knocks on Grimm's door about ten minutes later. And it looks like he's brought something in the form of some kind of tea that he holds up with a small smile.]

I thought maybe it would be nice if we had tea together while we talk. Is that alright?

I will never turn down tea with you, my beloved.

[There's no one else around, so it's okay to say that, right?

Lobco's absence is apparent the moment Danny steps inside - the large tank that used to be in the living room is gone. Too painful a reminder.]

[Danny notices the tank being missing, but chooses not to comment on it for now as he wanders in the direction of Grimm's kitchen. He hasn't been in this part of the other man's apartment that often so it might take him a moment to find some things, but soon enough there's a kettle of tea being prepared.]

Do you want anything to eat as well?

Thank you, but I am not particularly hungry at the moment.

[Grimm has a seat on the couch and waits for Danny to join him with the tea.]

[Danny comes out eventually with the tea, handing Grimm's cup to him.]

Here. I hope it's to your liking.

[It's decent, though admittedly Danny is better at making coffee than tea as the former is what he drinks more often. But he also knows Grimm is not as big a coffee drinker as he is, so...]

[Grimm takes a small sip.]

Thank you very much. -I apologize for springing this on you so suddenly.

[Danny isn't drinking his own tea as much yet, so much as having something to preoccupy his hands with for the moment.]

Maybe I shouldn't be so surprised by the offer, given how close we are, but... it is still unexpected. I've never had someone ask me to move in with them before. I've always lived alone for most of my life.

[Even he and the other floor masters were separated by their respective floors, so it's hard to say that they were actually roommates or anything so much as associates working in the same building.]

You can take time to think it over, of course. And I will not think less of you if you refuse.

[He'd just like to have Danny close, is all.]

I know you wouldn't.

[Even if a part of him did have that thought, hearing it does help. He takes a sip of his tea for a moment before he sets it down, and then proceeds to lean against Grimm a little here from where they're sitting together, shoulder to shoulder as he smiles.]

That said... even just hearing that you want me to live together with you... it makes me really happy. I can only wonder what it might be like to actually do so.

[What it might be like to live with someone who actually wants him there and, hopefully, wouldn't get tired of being around him for too long upon doing so... it really is a nice thought to entertain.]

I would be willing to change some of the decor, if you find this displeasing.

[Not everyone is as into the Goth Aesthetic as Grimm and that's okay, relationships are about compromise!]

[That actually gets a laugh out of Danny here at that.]

Grimm, you've seen my apartment. Yours is much more interesting to look at than mine, I can't imagine trying to change anything too drastic here to accommodate me.

[Danny has like no taste... except for occasional flowers and decorations involving eyes, but he's been keeping those mostly out of sight.]

Just making certain. I know not everyone shares my sense of aesthetic.

[He's just being accommodating!]

Having an aesthetic is probably better than no aesthetic, though...

[... Probably. Anyway.]

You don't have to change anything for me. I like your apartment the way it is.

Then, you will join me?

[Can you really say no to this face.]

[... No, no he cannot. He genuinely likes Grimm too much to think of saying no, though he does consider that he is going to have to be... very careful in making sure he doesn't leave anything suspect out in the open if they're living together. Make sure nothing is left behind at the other apartment in case Jyuto or someone decides to look around for something incriminating.

... But, he will worry about that later. For now, he allows dropping one of his hands down to rest over top of Grimm's.]

... Alright. I'd like to stay here with you, if you'll let me.

There is nothing I would like more.

[Grimm turns his hand around to hold Danny's properly. Another hand he places at the back of Danny's neck, to draw him into a sweet and tender kiss.]

[Danny smiles, squeezing Grimm's hand in his as he allows himself to be turned to properly kiss Grimm here, his other hand coming up to rest around the back of Grimm's neck as well.

Getting to live with Grimm would mean getting to do this far more often too, huh... can't say he disapproves of that notion.]
