My roommate since I arrived in Lunatia one year ago, Lobco, has gone home. The apartment is terribly quiet without her, even though she was never the loud type. Strange how that happens.

Perhaps it is. I don't consider it to be such, but given what it is you do I can't say I'm surprised to hear that you do.

From my point of view, mourning a loss means that you had something worth mourning.

[And if Wesker has had numerous losses, and mourned none of them... that strikes Grimm as terribly sad.]

It's always been more of an obstruction to me. I don't have time to grieve the past; I have some things to serve as reminders of different times, but continuing on in the present has always taken priority. The losses are pointless without progress.

That sort of thinking is sensible when it comes to failed projects or the like, but lost people are different, I feel.

Maybe so. Most I know would agree with you; I'm aware that I'm an outlier, in that regard. I always have been.

But I do understand why others might feel that way, whether I personally do or not. Hence my sympathies for your loss now.
