[The feed turns on and the camera is being adjusted. Considering the storm raging outside, they couldn't do this on the porch like he had originally wanted, but that was fine. Yosuke had an acoustic guitar in his lap, a pick held between his lips as he finished tying his hair up into a bun, long bangs tucked behind his ears. He was in serious need of a hair cut but he has, admittedly, been lazy. Souji didn't seem to mind it. He pulled the pick from his mouth and held it between his knuckles.]

There, that should do it.

I dunno 'bout this, partner...

[Despite his nervousness, leg bouncing as there's shuffles behind the camera, he looked a bit excited. Souji was getting himself comfortable, only popping into frame from the corner to make sure he was actually out of frame when seated normally and not leaning over. Yosuke laughed and shooed him back.]

You promised me a concert and I think this would be fun for everyone else, too!

If they even wanna...

Okay, okay! [Deep breath.] Hey guys, Yosuke here. I uh, figured it might be fun to provide some entertainment during this crazy weather. I'll take requests, assuming I know the song. Or you can just sit and listen, whatever you wanna do. I'll go first, since I got a promise to fulfill to my partner.

[It's a little mellow for his drums being acoustic but Kaji can't help but respond. Music keeps him sane and being inside with Haruki while trying to pretend he had not screwed up royally at home and the other was unaware of it is a little claustrophobic like for him.

So he is behind his drum kit, just listening and enjoying. Guy's not bad, he's no Uenoyama but then most people aren't and Kaji is biased on his bandmate so. He is spinning a stick by the time the song ends.]

You got some skills, know anything a little heavier, or you all mellow tones?

[He is in kick up a storm mode, forgive him, his mood is matching the weather outside it seems.]

Hey, don't dunk on the mellow ones.

[He's laughing though. He tilted his head in thought though.]

It was a request! But yeah, I can do some heavier ones.

[His eyes lit up as he noticed the drums, his grin widening. He took another moment to think and then nodded to himself.]

I think I got one, it just came out where I'm from, but if you're from after 2012 then it might not be super new to you.

[So, he started to sing, strumming starting shortly after the first verse.]

[because he still hasn't quite worked out how the video bit works but he does have the audio down. Either way, he can watch the video and listen to the music]

I've never heard anything like that. Do you know Bach, or maybe Vivaldi?

I know of them. I never really learned the classical stuff though, I'm sorry.

[he was self taught, so going for the familiar songs of his time was easier for him.]

[Souji doesn't make any scenes or comments while Yosuke is playing- there's no interruptions or remarks. But he does look like a lovestruck fool behind the camera as he watches Yosuke play, with a wide smile from ear to ear. He loves this guy, sue him.]

[This time, Uenoyama keeps silent as he listens. All he does is send Mafuyu a message to either get on the stream or come over to listen, but otherwise doesn't interrupt the performance. Because it IS one of the bands he likes and listens to and the guy is doing a pretty good job.

When he finishes the song, Uenoyama finally speaks up.]

How long have you been playing?

[The promise of music is more than enough to capture Mafuyu's interest, so it doesn't take more than Uenoyama's text for him to wander over and peer over the other boy's shoulder without ever announcing that he's there.

He's perfectly silent the entire time, never shifting or making a sound as he watches. It's only after Uenoyama speaks up that Mafuyu leans in a little further to look at Yosuke's guitar.]

[Uenoyama jumps a bit when he feels Mafuyu's chin on his shoulder but otherwise doesn't say anything until the song is over and Mafuyu speaks up.]

Yup, it is. I didn't actually get you to hear one live before, huh? My bad.

[He should've thought of that; they got swept up with their own guitars and composing that acoustic guitars never crossed their minds.]

I am, yeah! 2012. What about you?

[Way back in the past if his first thought was to ask for Bach. Also. “Lad”?]

[Poe and Jim are farther in the future than that, but still, it makes his head spin]

[Once he’s done, he stands up to give a mock bow.]

[He had almost forgot that potentially several others were watching but he didn’t care as he sat back down.]

You never heard an acoustic before?

[That was a new one, he supposed. But he obviously knew guitars if he caught in that he was using one.]

Oh! Um, I guess counting my time here I’ve been playing... three hears now? Self-taught though, so I’m sure I got areas to improve.

Yo, seriously?! That’s so cool!

[He doesn’t know all that much of western culture past maybe the 1950s and even then, it had been relative to music than any actual history. But there’s some things he’s learned either through osmosis, his partner’s study habit, and movies.]

This place must have been a real trip when you got here, huh? It was even for me.

[He can pick up from context that "cool" is a good thing, so he smiles]

I did have a bit of a crisis when I first arrived, but I've got it more or less handled now.

[He looks thoughtful for a moment, trying to find some song (any song) in his brain that he can request. Honestly, this is all Yosuke's area, he's bad with music.]

The one you played the other night. Uhh... I don't remember the name...

He's pretty new when it comes to guitars in general.

[He's sure he mentioned the acoustic guitar in one of the lessons and showed him how it sounds on one of the CDs, but he doubts Mafuyu heard the guitar in person, live, like this.]

Heeeh, [Uenoyama smirks a bit.] impressive for being self-taught. I'm the same. Is the guitar passed down onto you from your dad?

You’re really bad at remembering this stuff, you know that?

[Mister smarty pants and can’t remember a song from two nights ago? Yosuke laughed softly.]

I gotcha.

[He started the notes off, smile softly as he hummed and began.]

Ahh, well welcome to the music club!

[He laughed and shook his head.]

Nah, I bought this here. And my dad wanted me to earn my stuff on my own, so I bought my electric and bass guitar with my paychecks from Junes. He is the reason I’m into music in the first place, though. Pretty sure his music collection surpasses mine!

Glad to hear it! It’s pretty wild out here, and I don’t just mean the storm.

[He plucked at a few at a few strings, watching Souji off screen for a moment as his boyfriend went to reheat the tea and get some more snacks.]

Doing this kind of gives me some normal in my life, y’know?

I know what you mean. This place is massive compared to London, but I try going about my usual business as much as I can. Keeps me grounded.

Never was too interested in music. My sister plays the piano a bit, though.

I've seen them in the music store and heard them on CDs. But not in person.

[Not that this is exactly in person either, but still! The mention of electric and bass guitars is enough to intrigue him even further, though, and he straightens up just a bit so he isn't awkwardly leaning in.]

I have an electric guitar. So does Uenoyama-kun.

[Uenoyama's distracted for a moment, wondering whether he just go out and buy an acoustic guitar, he can play it (most likely?). They aren't as expensive as electric ones, right? And especially here... the currency is all messed up and you get it through... well... things, so it should be easier, right?

He gets back into the conversation when he hears Mafuyu say his name and nods affirmatively.]

That sounds reasonable. Are your guitars here with you? The bass and electric? Which style?

[Is it rude to ask about it? Too late anyway.]
