[The feed turns on and the camera is being adjusted. Considering the storm raging outside, they couldn't do this on the porch like he had originally wanted, but that was fine. Yosuke had an acoustic guitar in his lap, a pick held between his lips as he finished tying his hair up into a bun, long bangs tucked behind his ears. He was in serious need of a hair cut but he has, admittedly, been lazy. Souji didn't seem to mind it. He pulled the pick from his mouth and held it between his knuckles.]

There, that should do it.

I dunno 'bout this, partner...

[Despite his nervousness, leg bouncing as there's shuffles behind the camera, he looked a bit excited. Souji was getting himself comfortable, only popping into frame from the corner to make sure he was actually out of frame when seated normally and not leaning over. Yosuke laughed and shooed him back.]

You promised me a concert and I think this would be fun for everyone else, too!

If they even wanna...

Partner...

Okay, okay! [Deep breath.] Hey guys, Yosuke here. I uh, figured it might be fun to provide some entertainment during this crazy weather. I'll take requests, assuming I know the song. Or you can just sit and listen, whatever you wanna do. I'll go first, since I got a promise to fulfill to my partner.

[It's a little mellow for his drums being acoustic but Kaji can't help but respond. Music keeps him sane and being inside with Haruki while trying to pretend he had not screwed up royally at home and the other was unaware of it is a little claustrophobic like for him.

So he is behind his drum kit, just listening and enjoying. Guy's not bad, he's no Uenoyama but then most people aren't and Kaji is biased on his bandmate so. He is spinning a stick by the time the song ends.]

You got some skills, know anything a little heavier, or you all mellow tones?

[He is in kick up a storm mode, forgive him, his mood is matching the weather outside it seems.]

Hey, don't dunk on the mellow ones.

[He's laughing though. He tilted his head in thought though.]

It was a request! But yeah, I can do some heavier ones.

[His eyes lit up as he noticed the drums, his grin widening. He took another moment to think and then nodded to himself.]

I think I got one, it just came out where I'm from, but if you're from after 2012 then it might not be super new to you.

[So, he started to sing, strumming starting shortly after the first verse.]

I'm not, I can get behind a good mellow tune in the right mood.

[Kaji has a grin on his face too, always glad to surround himself with musicians, music was his major in school.]

Can't refuse a special request. Then I probably know it. Good choice.

[When he starts to sing Kaji gets a little smirk; good choice, fitting for his mood and he spins his sticks in his hands, counting in his head till he lays in with the bass drum following along with the ease of years at his craft, clearly enjoying himself.]

[because he still hasn't quite worked out how the video bit works but he does have the audio down. Either way, he can watch the video and listen to the music]

I've never heard anything like that. Do you know Bach, or maybe Vivaldi?

I know of them. I never really learned the classical stuff though, I'm sorry.

[he was self taught, so going for the familiar songs of his time was easier for him.]

[Souji doesn't make any scenes or comments while Yosuke is playing- there's no interruptions or remarks. But he does look like a lovestruck fool behind the camera as he watches Yosuke play, with a wide smile from ear to ear. He loves this guy, sue him.]

[Once he’s done, he stands up to give a mock bow.]

Thank you, thank you.

[He had almost forgot that potentially several others were watching but he didn’t care as he sat back down.]

[He looks thoughtful for a moment, trying to find some song (any song) in his brain that he can request. Honestly, this is all Yosuke's area, he's bad with music.]

The one you played the other night. Uhh... I don't remember the name...

[This time, Uenoyama keeps silent as he listens. All he does is send Mafuyu a message to either get on the stream or come over to listen, but otherwise doesn't interrupt the performance. Because it IS one of the bands he likes and listens to and the guy is doing a pretty good job.

When he finishes the song, Uenoyama finally speaks up.]

How long have you been playing?

[The promise of music is more than enough to capture Mafuyu's interest, so it doesn't take more than Uenoyama's text for him to wander over and peer over the other boy's shoulder without ever announcing that he's there.

He's perfectly silent the entire time, never shifting or making a sound as he watches. It's only after Uenoyama speaks up that Mafuyu leans in a little further to look at Yosuke's guitar.]

[Uenoyama jumps a bit when he feels Mafuyu's chin on his shoulder but otherwise doesn't say anything until the song is over and Mafuyu speaks up.]

Yup, it is. I didn't actually get you to hear one live before, huh? My bad.

[He should've thought of that; they got swept up with their own guitars and composing that acoustic guitars never crossed their minds.]

[Not quite the compliment he was expecting. Okay, he wasn’t expecting much in general but this was certainly not it either.]

[Ren smiles at the performance, very impressed by his skills on both playing and singing.]

[It took a few notes, and his fingers swiping through his playlist before he settled on a song that, throughout, Yosuke was looking as a certain someone that was sitting out of frame.

He was definitely a lovestruck fool to the person who set this up to begin with.

That being said, Yosuke never forgot his audience, eyes going back to meet Ren’s. He liked the musician as well. Like a lot, actually. So his grin was definitely for him as well.]

[Ren notices him looking out of the frame and smiles. It's nice to see someone so lovestruck, to be honest. It's a warm feeling, to witness people in love.

It was also nice to get attention to himself, however. Yosuke was good at keeping an eye contact with his audience, because Ren never looked away as he enjoyed the music.]

[Yosuke have a sheepish laugh, rubbing the back of his neck and nearly dropping his pick in the process.]

[Ren feels a bit guilty that he didn't reach out to Yosuke sooner, but it's not like his mood has been great for a variety of reasons.

The music is nice and calming during such a rough storm outside, though, and he listens with a light smile and his hand tapping on his knee. He doesn't listen to music much, being the silent meditative sort, but he finds himself enjoying the tune and the sound of Yosuke's voice.]

You're very talented. I didn't expect you to have a good voice, too. I'd make a request but I doubt you know anything from my world.

Heh... yeah, I’ve been told my singing voice is different than my speaking. I’ve gotten that before, thanks.

[Understandable, he remembered what Ren told him. Yosuke tilted his head in thought.]

Well, you got any samples? Maybe I can find something close?

[ It's well into the afternoon bordering on evening when Setsura replies extremely belatedly to this particular network entry. Pre-Cordis' agitation is working her nerves, working her mind, emotions in the face of her first Cordis without her husband. She can't quite think of anything off the top of her head, and so, after taking a breath -- ]

Surprise me.

[ And then, after a moment of thought, she quietly, sullenly edits her response to add: ]

No love songs, please.

[ Not that Yosuke has known her to listen to many with enthusiasm, but she'd become more tolerant, open in recent months. She'd been. ]

[He hadn’t expected such a belated response, but it perhaps correlated with her general lack of texting these last few weeks. He hadn’t pushed about it, although he kind of wanted to now. Instead, the response comes back maybe an hour later because he hadn’t seen it right away and then needed to set up so he could play properly.

It was during that time that he thought of which song to do. He figured something uplifting would be good, but not a love song as requested.

Soon, the video was sent over followed by a simple text:]
