Please enjoy the attempt at the very popular Eorzean song, Pa-Paya until it annoys you. When it's done, the screen will show a very happy looking blond man with a friendly smile and strange horns looking at everyone, strumming some notes on his lyre until he speaks. ]

'tis been some suns since my arrival, and what a fantastic world this is. To think that not only instruments hide within this contraption, but the ability to send mine own image and voice to many others as though I were right before them!

Pray, indulge my queries- does the melody ring familiar to any? Do chocobo and moogles dance in delight in your own worlds? Do dragons sing to the choir of their horde? Or perhaps, do Sky Pirates race through the clouds, inspiring all with tales of adventure?

I've heard people of many worlds have been brought here with similar tales as mine own. Perhaps you could share your own?

I am called Klair, the Dragonsong, and I would be honoured to put your tales to inspiration for my songs. Or perhaps- inspiration for adornments and attire for yourself, inspired by your own journey?

[ Said with such firmness that it is a bit of a threat. If he's so fearful to learn of such a thing, well then, she has a weapon in this upcoming fight. ]

And my name is Dakki Sigal. I am, best as I understand it, another world's version of the woman you're so eager to try and tease.

[ Please ignore that she pouts a bit, and do also ignore the pinkness to her cheeks. ]

Behave yourself, and you've nothing to worry about!

[ Gods be good. This Ballard- Dakki, has some fire. She threw off his groove! ~~Gods damn it, this is all her fault. Her and her hair-ripping threats!~~ ]

Another world's- oh. Then, you carry her face, yet not the memories- my heart aches. To see her in your visage, yet to have our love be spurned-

[ Quick, recover, somehow! He's telling himself, before straightening up. ]

Surely I am not so loathsome...? Perhaps we can start over? And not mention those that may have threatened my physical health?

[ Her shoulders rise just about to her ears at this talk of spurned love. Oh, hells, he had better be blowing hot air, surely Megumi would've told her about the truth of such a thing... ]

[ All at once she finds herself thinking of Estinien, and the countless times some hapless Warrior of Light had come bounding up to him, full of expectations. That thought softens her look some. ]

We can treat each other as strangers, and come to know each other properly. No... unexpected expectations.

...I have expectations of my own. I'd thought you'd be holding a staff, not a lyre.

[ Please, Dakki, he has enough love to give every single person he loves! Though his expression shifts to amusement when she mentions that, a laugh breaking out of him. ]

Ah, my finest of dreams... I'd only just finished polishing that wood and fitting that robe when I was swept into a battle unlike any I'd have imagined. Then-

[ He pauses, eyes widening. ]

Hold- then, that Ballard, 'twas you! Here, I'd thought myself special for being so deeply in her thoughts that she would make me a part of her dream... but it was real, wasn't it?

You remember that...

[ And all of her reservations, all of her defensiveness and embarrassment are briefly forgotten. They had connected. Fleetingly, yes, but these worlds that all came together here were, apparently, not so far apart after all. All of the things that could mean swim in her head. ]

It was very real! I ought to apologize for having brought you into such a dire fight! But you handled yourself admirably, and I am eternally grateful that you came and answered the call.

[ And she smiles with absolute sincerity. ]

[ Oh thank the Twelve, he's saved by a dream. His gaze softens, recalling those vivid, sharp images of the shadows and darkness- of the being he couldn't even fathom... Gareki had told him he'd hit his head when he explained it, but here she is, repeating the very same.

Ah, he's not that touched in the head after all. ]

There it is. The smile I so adore. To see your relief- the relief my sweet Ballard would wear, was worth facing that unknown adversary for.

[ He chuckles. ]

I can't say I answered, much as I was swept away. But you do have that charm about you, my beauty. Even if you- rather Ballard, heavily deny it each time I bring it up. Perhaps you'll be more amenable to it?

[ Only a little touched in the head, yes.

Her sincere smile takes on a bit of a strained quality, the more he goes on like that. ]

...with a mouth like that, you'll fit in just fine in this place. There are plenty that would be amenable.

[ With how thickly he's laying it on, she can't believe it's sincere. But maybe some people like that sort of thing...? ]

But never mind that. Are... you a Warrior of Light, then? Or just a talented adventurer?

[ He doesn't give her that sort of gut feeling that she's begun to get, but she's been wrong before. ]

[ That's the beauty of it, he's always sincere. There isn't an ounce of dishonesty in his affection, but he just shakes his head. ]

Would that I could be, for the tales I could share on such marvelous journeys would be vast. I am but a humble bard and craftsman, making my way through the world.

[ It's obviously not the full story, but why would he give that up so easily? ]

[ The entire 'humble bard' thing pricks at old memories in a way that she doesn't quite like, it at least seems consistent with the sort of person he seems to be.

And yet... he carried himself entirely capably. She can't bring herself to think too ill of him, and so she sighs. ]

You're on a marvelous journey now, at the least. If it inspires any new songs, perhaps you could share them with us?

[ So she will try to be... kind. And welcoming. (And will only call Megumi later to ask for her opinion on matters.) ]

I could. There's always much to learn in a new place, and new mysteries to uncover. But why not tell me of your own adventure here? Perhaps you've some of excitement, or perhaps romance?

[ Color comes to her cheeks, but she does her very best Estinien impersonation and valiantly manages to keep her expression flat and unimpressed. Matters of romance are personal. ]

Things have been known to become dangerous, on occasion. There have been excursions to the moons, and old gods coming awakening from their long slumber. That, I could tell you a thing or two about.

[ He knows that look, beautiful. ]

[ Even if she doesn't give him details, he'd expect to at least have an acknowledgment for not just her feelings but whoever she's involved with. Sometimes it stings to have a beloved deny the existence of a bond! Signed, the guy that gets denied all the time, sniff. ]

A love story is a bard's bread and butter, you know. A story of love born through danger and adventure— ah, 'tis the peak of satisfaction! Why not celebrate it?

[ It is very hard to hold an Estinien-like flat expression, really... she is frowning now. And furrowing her brow. And huffing. ]

But I don't see how it is any of your business! I'll celebrate that on my own time!

It isn't. But knowing that a love worth celebrating exists can bring hope to those that do not have it. Love is not selfish, after all.

[ The shy ones are always so cute about it, but he wants them to be happy for having it! ]

Sharing it is a blessing, not something to hide. Why, mine own love is a treasure I will sing of for moons to come. But that would just be self-centered if I did not give others the same attention.

Besides, I fought by your side— we're comrades-in-arms now, aren't we?

[ He might be sneaky too. Just a little. ]

[ Love isn't selfish, yes, yes, that's very nearly a convincing argument... but there's only so much of herself that she's willing to have shared around. The frown persists. ]
