What do you consider to be a 'perfect gift'? Perfect for you to get and perfect in your eyes to give to someone else?

And no, I'm not crazy, this has nothing to do about Xmas (or Frilialia or whatever's called here), that's months away.

I'm just thinking up of some plans and I need a few ideas

Well, a perfect gift would change a lot depending on the person... but I don't think you can go wrong catering to someone's interests.

Me? I'm sure I'd be happy with anything, especially if I could tell that the person who gave it to me put thought into what I might like.

For instance, I like music and spicy food, so anything related to those would show that the person who gave it to me carefully considered what to get. I can't help but appreciate that sort of thoughtfulness.

Are you planning to give a gift to someone?

A song? I've never thought of what it would be like to have a song written for me, but I've written them for others before. It takes countless hours of work, so I'd never expect it from anyone...

I see. So you're trying to come up with ideas?

Fufu. Emotions run quite high when you play a song you wrote for someone you love... It was hard enough doing it, so I'm not sure how well I'd manage to stay composed if I were the recipient.

That's very forward-thinking of you. Do you have an idea what the other person likes?

I can't say I wouldn't do the same. It's truly a labor of love.

In that case... Some of the best gifts I've received were collectors items and records from my favourite rock bands. And extra spicy hot sauce that's hard to find!

As far as giving gifts go, I like to listen to things my friends mention months in advance and then surprise them. For instance, if I'm window shopping and a friend says they like a certain stuffed animal or artisanal cooking equipment or a pair of headphones, I'll store that memory away to buy it later.

If it helps, not all music here is like that. There are plenty of musicians here that continue to create music, including myself. But the birdbox really does come in handy.

Ah... I can't say I'm not like that, in a way, so I understand. But I think it's wonderful that you've been able to get some ideas through talking to people.

The person you're buying a gift for must feel awfully lucky that you care about them so much. That's a wonderful thing.

Yes, I'm Sougo Ousaka - an idol from Tokyo. If we're from the same world, looking up "IDOLiSH7" or "MEZZO"" on the birdbox should work. But if not, I'd be happy to share my work here with you. I'm grateful that you're interested enough to want to listen!

But that's enough about me. Rather, I still think it's great that your friend has someone like you here to support him. The thought is what counts, after all... or so they always say.
