Okay...

[The voice that's picked up behind the view finder of the communicator is soft and a little out of breath, a strange jumble of obvious nerves as the hands trying to set things up properly without anything falling over are shaking no matter how much Ana tries to calm herself.

This was different than starting a guild. A lot more went into legitimate businesses than she realized.

But it's here, and ready, and the shot for the moment is focused on what appears to be a collection of rough made but sturdy battle dummies and targets set up beneath a wooden covered awning.

Ana steps in front of the range once the camera is steady, holding her shimmering bow in one hand and tucking some wayward red curls behind her ear with the other, dressed in her leather armor. She gives a sheepish wave, face flushed both from awkwardness and having been rushing around before this moment.]

Hello, Lunatia! And... other locations! I wanted to announce that today my brother, friend and I have successfully opened up our own business! It's... a bit different than what's usually around here, but we decided to bring a bit of Tyrian flare to the city! I mean, if you can really call it that. We all seem pretty rustic in compari--

[Someone coughs off camera to keep her from rambling, and she stands up straighter.]

R-right! So, yes, I am welcoming you all to Crystal Dragon Creations... and Archery Range!

[She steps back a bit to show the targets again.]

After a bit of talking among ourselves and with some others around the city we realized there wasn't much in the way for those of us who practiced archery as far as a place to practice was concerned, but rather than just build a range and hope for the best we also decided to include our own crafting skills from home. I specialize in gear for huntsmen which includes leatherworking, short and long bows and some basic firearms. My brother Rurik is fantastic with heavy armors and melee weaponry, and our friend Asteffiel is skilled with artificing - that is more magical based weaponry - and lighter wear. We can repair just about anything, and craft just about anything! ... within reason, of course, but we won't know unless we try!

[She can't really think of anything else to say, so she bounces back to the camera and picks it up, but rather than shutting it off she turns it until it's facing her now with an arm around her brother's upper arms as she grins mischievously.

Naturally he looks. Very confused.]

By the way, this guy is still pretty new and totally single.

Our guild was more about lending aid and relief to areas of Tyria that had been affected by major events. It was spurred on because Central Tyria was disconnected from Elona for centuries but we suddenly began getting refugees from the area and those who were trying to help began running out of resources really quickly. No one was really prepared for helping them against... well... essentially a disgraced god that was pissed off and attacking innocents.

[Indeed, within the hour, a young man who doesn't look terribly out of place in this 'rustic' setting wanders on down to the archery range, looking over the setup with mild interest.]

it makes sense that you set up your own range so you can practice again. i was talking with someone about how we should set up our own skate park so we can practice our skating.

Then it's you that I have to ask first. I'm not even novice at best, I know the trope that "pointy end goes this way" and that's as far as I think I could muster. I would sincerely appreciate to work out a weapon made for me of the long range variety and your skill set to teach. Is this possible?

Hmm. I gotta wonder if there's some ways to produce them cheaper, too. That might be a more repeatable solution, in addition to the fee.

Or, like, different kinds of practice dummy for different sorts of training. Guns probably need something very different from a bow, too, after all.

She's easy to find once he enters the area, currently seated at a stool at the leatherworker's station, working on a repair of her own at the moment. Red hair tied up, a random tool held in her mouth and fingers deftly rethreading leather pieces together.

She looks up after a moment and gives a cheerful wave, speaking around the tool.]

Probably. I didn't look as deeply into it as I probably could have? I just went with what I knew, which is basically straw, thick canvas and maybe some other padding if it's available.

[There's a faint voice off to the side, barely loud enough to be picked up, but Ana pauses to listen then apparently relays what was being asked.]

It does depend on how it's damaged, and what the magic is.

[ He nods understandingly, sparing a polite smile for the redhead he vaguely remembers. ]

It's minor damage, scratches more than anything. It has a Mariner's Enchantment on it so that I can swim at the same speed as walking and, should I drown, it takes me to the surface.

[That's right, they have spoken before. Briefly, when Ana wasn't exactly doing much. This wasn't how she was expecting them to talk again but she's glad there's a chance she might be able to aid him in some way.]

[They have rebreathers in Tyria, but getting pulled to the surface in an emergency would be extremely helpful.

Limping through water is never fun.

"That sounds easier than what we use" can be heard this time before a very... leafy individual leans over and gives a thumbs up with barely a readable expression on his bark-like face.]

Heheh. Asteffiel should be able to repair that if you'd like to bring it by.

[Runes are great sources for embument but a pain to make from scratch.]

Just chroma or demichroma, honestly. We had to move into a bigger place [because someone wouldn't stop acting like a giant leafy cat and coming into her already crowded bed for cuddles, also the starters are just not that great for more than two people] so our main focus is paying that off as soon as possible.

[Ana lets out a grunt as Asteffiel decides now is also a good time to act like a big overgrown cat and drops into her lap, looking up at her with an expression that apparently only she can understand. She sighs and rolls her eyes.]

Or plants. He will legitimately let you pay him in plants.

[ Sure is a sight to see a grownass man plonk himself in someone's lap like that; Fjord just ... pretends not to notice, that's probably the politest thing to do. Ahem. ]

Ah, I can offer a small cutting of one of our own plants as well as Chroma, as I haven't much of the latter following the flood. I'm saving what I do for repairs to our house.

[It's been an adjustment to go from "sometimes cuddly just because" to "please give me chroma because I don't want to wear cloth clothing and growing my own requires it".

To be fair, Asteffeil sits in that strange nebulous stage of the "adult" mental age he was born with and his actual chronological age. She's been dealing with his weird antics for years, though.

She just gives him a pat on the head and continues the conversation because really what else is she going to do.]

Ugh, right. That was such a mess. I'm glad you weren't hurt, though. That would be perfect. I doubt it will take too much if it's just a repair anyway.

[It's a new place. Ana can't blame anyone for wanting to poke a bit. Just don't break anything.]

Yes, as long as they're the same. Did you have a design in mind?

Rurik and I learned long bow when we were young but both of us went on to become skilled in other weaponry, so I agree completely. Never know what's going to happen when you're in the midst of battle.

It does help, having other skills and weaponry on hand. I carry both a staff and my bow, and before I unlocked my Druid skills I used an axe and warhorn.
