The basic flavor is of brine. Salty, like lightened sea water, but what color they glow can indicate additional flavor.

So like the usual sea dish? I suppose it would taste similar to octopus.

There is a snap to their texture that I have not experienced in octopus.

I see. I am often there, so I can bring these myself instead of via courier.

Oh! They are octopus balls, very popular in Japan. And very delicious too.

Which is why I think jellyfish could fit in the recipe, with some experimenting.

Octopus... [ He does not know the country, buuuuut...that sounds delicious, indeed. ] I have had squid, and now jellyfish, but I have not had the opportunity to try octopus.

Amegahara has food stalls that serve this! They are quite popular, and tasty too. I know how to make them as well, although I'm not sure I have a proper frying pan here. I'll have to look it up.

He HAS a frying pan. Normal one! He just doesn't have the one for takoyaki, a pan with circles in it. Or maybe it's a grill ? He doesn't know how people call it. He just knows it as 'the thing that makes takoyaki'.]
