[Morning of the Twenty-Thirst of June] (Text)

Hey everyone, happy Summer Solstice!

Yeah, I checked, and it turns out this is the longest day of the year here in Lunatia. They, uh, don't seem to celebrate it, though. Kinda strange, back home it was a pretty big deal. There was a big feast, planting seeds and starting gardens... oh, the flower crowns! Everybody got at least one. Some people had trouble wearing all the ones they had.

Also I think stuff with alcohol and... well, that stuff my Dad would have killed me for getting involved with, so nevermind.

Anyway, any of you guys have celebrations like that? And Riku, Sora, we've got to at least get some crowns made before the day's over!

[What Kairi isn't saying is, the Summer Solstice is also her birthday, or at least the day they've celebrated it since she arrived on the islands. But hey, she won't make a big deal out of that, and the only ones who know are her boys.]

... Well, that's not all that surprising. I'm pretty sure that I won't fully ready to start teaching anyone for a while either. [ Not that she'd actually have a choice once they get back home. Someone needs to complete Kairi and the other's training, and she doubts Yen Sid is going to do much.

Though thinking about that does bring up a good point... ]

Though in Terra and Sora's case (and probably Ven too once he's ready), I think it's going to have to be Yen Sid's call on if they can become Masters. There's no way I'd be objective enough to make the decision for Terra, and at this point there's no reason for whoever evaluates Terra not doing the same for Sora at the same time.

[That's a little disappointing in Kairi's eyes, but not exactly surprising. From Aqua's perspective, she hasn't exactly been a Master for a long time. Really, the only ones who have are Yen Sid and Mickey.

And Yen Sid's clearly retired for a reason, which only leaves the King. She has to wonder if he'd be available...]

Well, I guess who's teaching who has changed greatly since we got here anyway.

Huh, that's an interesting thought... Terra and Sora, taking the test together.

That's a good point too. You made a lot of progress training under Master Invi, after all. [And the last time Aqua had even seen Kairi really in action had been months ago, so she was probably even stronger now. ]

For all we know, by the time they find a way to send us home you might be ready to take the test alongside them.

If we're stuck here long enough, maybe. We still haven't done anything I would say only Keyblade wielders could accomplish, so if Riku's right about us all being here for a reason, that isn't finished yet.

Maybe I'll end up taking the test from her.

... In all honesty, it seems like that whatever we're here to do doesn't actually need us to be keyblade wielders specifically. Not with how many other people have been brought here, and who continue to be brought here.

As for taking the test from Invi, that's also a possibility if both of you end up feel that you're ready for the test before we return home.

I guess that's a good point to consider. I mean, the obvious suggestion is it's just for the Chroma, but if that were the case wouldn't only people who are totally okay with Moonlacing be brought in?

It all depends on how long we stay here. We'll see what happens, I suppose.

That's also a good point. It seems like even now we don't really have enough information to go off of when it comes to figuring out why we're here. There has to be something about what's going on that we're still missing that'll make it all make sense once we finally know it.

I guess we could talk to as many people as possible and see if there's anything we all have in common. But there's no way we could get everyone to answer... and even then, I'm not really sure what questions to ask.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what we could ask them either. We already know that questions like "Do you have any special abilities?" or "Do you know how to use magic?" aren't going to lead us to an answer. Neither will asking about people's ages...

We could start by checking for people who did stuff like us back home. Either professionally or because their world needed them for some reason.

We could... though again, I already know that for some people, the answer is going to be that they didn't.

Still, there's always a chance that some of us who were brought here were brought for a different reason, so it'll probably still be worthwhile to ask those questions.

It's a starting point, at least. We're kind of in dire need of one of those.

That's also true. Now I guess we'll just have to figure out the best way to even ask about this. With how many of us are here, just putting out a message on the network is bound to just... not have many replies at all.

Even if it did get some responses, it wouldn't be anywhere near enough... I don't know. Back home, we'd send out surveys or something, but it would be my dad who did that, and he's the mayor. Unless we get some support from the government, I don't see that working.

... Well, we could always ask the government to put out a survey like that, I suppose. They're probably going to be just as interested in figuring out why we're here as we are.

You have a point. I think we'd all like to know.

Of course, that just makes it more likely we aren't going to find out so easily... but every bit of information we can get should help.

Exactly. I guess that's something I can also ask about while I'm researching everything we'd need to knwo to start a business...

I'll keep checking at the library, too. We've got to find something out eventually.

Right. The answers to all of this have to exist. We just need to find them.

And in the meantime, I shouldn't be obsessing about this over the network where I can't even look stuff up. Especially not on my birthday.

True. That's probably a good idea.

... And in my case, I do have a cake that I really need to start working on.

I can't believe I've been distracting you from working on my own birthday cake. There is clearly something wrong with me.
