Hello! My name is Lee Gyu-hyuk, I'm a recent arrival. I'm from South Korea, which is on Earth for those of you who are unfamiliar. It's so nice to meet people from other worlds here.
Before I arrived here, I was on a televised contest for musicians. I enjoy music, and was studying it prior to the show. I was wondering if anyone has studied music at the Lunatia Academy and whether you have any advice for someone who would like to do the same. I would really appreciate any thoughts you might have! :]
In the meantime, I am looking for a job. I understand that several moonblessed own businesses. I'm a hard worker and I learn quickly. If anyone is looking to hire another moonblessed, I would like to be considered.
Okay, I think that was everything! Before I go, let me leave with a(n 80s inspired) question:
What’s the most embarrassing fashion trend you used to rock?

tbh the short hair was embarrassing at first
but I definitely don't miss wearing red contacts for hours

Contacts are bad enough when you have to wear them to see.
I've heard the color-correction ones are even worse. Did they hurt?
no subject
after a while, yeah
I used to swap them out before concerts, then take em off as soon as we were done
but if were shooting promos I had to wear them all day

[ now he's just teasing. ]

hey, it's not for halloween!
I had an image to maintain!

Masquerade was really cool. And hardcore? Is that right to say, or do people not say that in real life?

I'm Eli Clark, a Seer. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Lee.
I haven't really attended the local Academy, but I imagine it wouldn't do you any harm to check it out. If you've studied music back in your homeland, then learning about a new place's music just sounds fascinating, wouldn't you think?
( music is fun!!!! lunatia has so much to offer... )
Oh, and I'm afraid I'm not too keen on fashion... I haven't really worn much outside of a robe in a long time.
no subject
I agree! I'm looking forward to the opportunity of learning more about this place. The pop music they have here is kind of similar to things have heard before, but a little older. It looks like BTSB* is really popular right now?
[ Yes, BTS............B* ]
I guess if you're a Seer, that makes sense! Doesn't it get hot sometimes, though?
no subject
And most importantly, it's not quite like what I've heard at home. I wish I could ask them what has inspired them to make their songs...
Haha. It does a little, yes. Britain has never been too hot on summers, and I lived in a village with enough trees to keep us chill.
Do you think I should find new clothes?
no subject
[ Use prisma twitter and @ BTSB*!! ]
Having a place like that sounds nice. If it is comfortable for you, I think you should wear what you like. But if you are too warm, you could try something like your style but a little different. I've heard PrismaPlace has some really nice clothes! I'm not very good at picking them out, though. My friend Do-yoon might be a better resource for that.

Oh, but I do have a Prismagran for my owl pictures. 🦉
( ohhhh you wanna follow him on prismagran so bad ohhhhh )
I think so as well. Perhaps that's why I haven't quite looked for new clothes.
What do you usually wear, though? I'm a little curious.

I was a couple years into an applied music degree back home. I sing and write my own songs. On BStars, we mostly sang pop music, but in school we covered a lot more.

[ Ah... sounds like an idol. ]
There's also a talent agency located in level 2 of the city but I'm not sure how the business has been doing lately. It might still be worth checking out for yourself however. Having television experience is a major benefit if you want to turn your skills into a career, that is if it's what you're interested in.

[ Yes...he's an idol ]
That's good to know, too. Thank you. I'm not sure if it's something I want to continue here. I wouldn't mind having a regular job for awhile.

I'm Sougo Ousaka, and I've been working as an idol both here and back home. It's a pleasure to meet you.
I can't say I'm familiar with the academy itself, but I've been studying music in my own time, and do side work as in-house composer and audio engineer for one of the talent agencies here. While it's not a professional course, I have plenty of online lessons and resources I'd be happy to send your way.
What type of music are you trying to study? Singing, songwriting, instruments, mixing, producing... Whatever you're interested in, I'll try to help however I can.
no subject
[ yes......they are kpop idols ]
That's great that you've found time to study even while working like that! I studied applied music before, but I wasn't able to finish my degree. While I was on BStars, I wrote all of my songs, too. I find that part really relaxing, but the singing is nice too. I can play a little piano, but I'd like to improve my skills.
Finishing my degree would be nice. I took time off for the show, but I really liked being in school. Regardless, I'd love to hear your music sometime. If you have a show coming up, you should let me know :]
no subject
[He's more used to appearing on variety programs and talk shows and the like, but as long as there's music, colour Sougo intrigued.]
But really, you're giving me more credit than I deserve. Rather than studying as a student, I do it in the hopes of learning new things as a musician.
Fufu. Maybe we're somewhat alike after all. Writing your own songs is much more difficult than people realize, so I truly respect that sort of dedication. If nothing else, I'd be happy ask around my agency about the academy's music program. I'm sure someone must know something about it.
Ah... I'm sorry, I wasn't intending for what I said to come across as boasting. But if you're sure, I'd be happy to share my music with you. In exchange, if the opportunity ever arises, I'd love to hear yours!
no subject
I'd appreciate that, though, thank you. It seems like there are a lot of opportunities, here. But those opportunities can also be a little overwhelming. ^^;
You didn't come off as boasting, don't worry. You should be proud of your accomplishments, anyway! How long have you been here?
no subject
It's no trouble at all. Everything is intimidating when you look at it from afar and see nothing but choices, but once you start to navigate those opportunities little by little, you can pinpoint what you want to focus on.
Ahaha... Thank you. I'll try to keep that in mind. But to answer your question, I've been here for a while, though I've only started doing solo work recently.

I'm pretty new too so I don't have any advice on a job... I thought I would just pick up what I do at home again.
As for fashion trends, you'd never catch me in something embarrassing, that would be sooo bad for business! Are you hinting that you need some advice?
[ She doesn't know what 80s inspired means, or really like half the stuff in this post but OH WELL. ]

What do you do back home? Something with fashion, I take it?
no subject
...
I'm a fashion designer! Currently I'm traveling aboard an airship.. or I was, until I showed up here.
no subject
That's really cool. I'd love to see some of your designs sometime.
