Everyone, I have a dire announcement to make.

[ Konoka's got her hands steepled, meaning only her face and arms are visible. You might see cuffs on her arms or maybe some sort of costume? But her face looks grim as she settles from turning on the video. ]

Due to the connection between Geistnacht and the fell beast of Gluttony, Ainfeil, all candy based celebrations have been cancelled.

[ She manages to hold on to her grim face for at least 30 more seconds before she winds up bursting into giggles. ]

Okay, I was just kidding!

[ She giggles for a while longer before straightening out. She is wearing a witch-like costume, including a witch's hat. ]

Though to be honest, I'm not sure what the Prismals will do this year for Halloween... or as it's locally known, Geistnacht. We may very well have to watch out for Ainfeil himself close to the end of the month.

Oh! I should probably step back a bit for anyone who's new. I'm Konoka Konoe. I've been gathering up a history of everything that's been going on with this planet as it relates to the Calamity that hit it a long time ago, and the beasts that caused it. You can see what I've got so far here.

Ah!

Last year, they had a candy contest where you could collect candy, and you'd have to compete with Prismals.

But a lot of the outfits and masks and stuff had the ol' boar-with-the-crown motif and we just learned one of them is a big jerk who could show up now, so who knows what they'll do.

... Yeah using a motif of something that can now appear sounds like it would be inviting trouble.

I'm hoping to make it another few months before I have to fight friends due to either being mind-controlled or because they did, honestly???

I'm considering a little costume party for the store, after our jaunt at the end of last month. Would be fun!

I did! Back home, Mahora liked to go all in on class festivals, so costumes came easy and plentiful, and mostly cheap!

Geistnacht is a little spooky so there's more tribute to the dead around here.

I see, many places back at my own home used to have the day as a means of celebrating the deceased as well. Perhaps things will not be so different here?

I don't know how things are gonna change with one of the big celebration points turning out to be a Beast of Calamity though.
