[ The video post flickers on to show two people, both looking rather different in demeanor. The taller of the two looks to have a scowl on his face, and eyes and hair a matching deep green. He’s not happy to be here, he doesn’t even feel comfortable leaving the apartment. Which is why he’s here with the shorter of the two boys.

It would’ve been hard to tell that the scruffy, blue-haired boy is the older of the two, but that’s probably part of his charm and it shows in how he addresses the network with a bright smile and a wave of his hand, as if he were a natural at this. ]

--Oh, I think we’re on! Hello, Lunatia! We’d like to introduce ourselves first of all: My name is Aoba Tsumugi, and this kind lad over here is my roommate! Ah, you should say hello too, Midorima-kun!

[ He gestures at the screen as smoothly as he could.

Midorima’s brows furrow before he’s even finished talking, looking mildly annoyed. What he’s annoyed about becomes apparent within only a few seconds as he doesn’t say hello and instead focuses in on correcting what he thinks was wrong with that sentence. ]

Who’s a “kind lad”? Focus on the task at hand.

[ Apparently, that’s all the greeting he’s bothering with. Tsumugi can only sigh a little before facing the screen again, smile still intact. ]

This is Midorima Shintarou, by the way. Seriously, kids these days… Um, but before I go off track, the reason why we’ve put this up is because we have one thing in common, and that is horoscopes. Luck, in general. Do you know there are apps here that tells you your daily fortune and what lucky item to bring around with you to ward off bad luck? Technology’s so amazing! Even though we’re from different worlds, it’s nice to know that there are other people who believe in them -- and that is why we are here today.

[ Midorima’s worried that Tsumugi’s going to go on for too long, so he chimes in with a much more direct demand of their audience over the network. ]

Respond with your astrological sign or birthday if you aren’t sure. We’re also looking to know what items are considered lucky in other worlds that may be incorporated into an apartment.

Y-You can just ask nicely them, you know! People wouldn’t know how to respond if you’re being demanding like that... [ why are tsunderes the way they are, man ] Anyway, it’d be very helpful for us to know everyone’s signs and birthdays to balance out of luck if it ever goes bad for a day so that we can stick with those people for a while… I’m a Leo and he’s a Cancer, if that helps.

Also! If anyone knows other forms of divination such as palmistry and tarot, that’d be greatly appreciated as well… I’m honestly more comfortable consulting with someone privately about my fortunes rather than rely on technology all the time, so let me know if it’s all right to approach you for regular sessions! [ Midorima just decides to move on and end the video. He’s not going to give Tsumugi the chance to say goodbye. ]

Are you asking about horoscopes just to learn about lucky items or are you just curious?

I know about horoscopes. We have an app. We're looking to learn about lucky items from other universes in order to improve our collective luck and the state of our apartment.

[ In other words, they want their apartment to have luck no matter what their daily luck is so they're protected before they can check and compensate for their horoscope. ]

[Her brows perk up.]

You must want an amazingly lucky apartment.

[Sarah reaches for the mug she's left sitting off screen to cool, lightly shoos a chubby tuxedo cat away from it and mulls a bit.]

Well, I know things like four leaf clovers are considered lucky. Rabbit's feet too? And then there are shooting stars.

[ Midorima gives the cat a glance. It's not a positive one. But the cat is behind a screen, it can't bother him. ]

Those are similar to Western luck symbols in my world.

That makes sense. I'm from the US, New York to be exact.

Mm, I see. So are you just interested in getting as much luck as you can?

Yes. Aoba and I both seem to have a natural tendency to see heavier influence from luck than others.

[ He fully recognizes that some people are completely outside of the sphere of luck. His middle school friend and Captain certainly was. but for people like himself and Tsumugi, it's detrimental not to compensate for things like this. ]

That's interesting. How did you figure that out?

If my luck rankings through Oha Asa or bad, I've run into multiple near-death experiences only to be saved by lucky items.

[ It's somehow true.. even if it applies to basically no one else in his life.. ]

[She seems. Vaguely impressed?]

That's... unfortunate.

[ Like the one time he went to jump and get a little girl's balloons out of a tree for her, not knowing his lucky item for the day was a red balloon because a series of events had caused him to miss the broadcast. A construction crane accidentally dropped a beams where he was standing right before he went to jump. He only wasn't standing there because he jumped for the balloons. It's entirely possible it's a coincidence, but things like that happen stupidly often to him if he doesn't have his lucky item.

He doesn't share this story because he was helping a little girl at the time and that's embarrassing to him somehow. ]

Which is why I do everything I can to improve my fortune.

Oh yeah, I would too if that was the case.

[And it seemed to actually work. Sure fairy tales were filled with good symbols and bad and what not but she had long since acknowledged those were false. Sort of anyhow. Things have been slowly changing for her.]

You haven't had anything go wrong since you got here, have you?

[ That's something wrong for sure. He also had an argument with the lady trying to help him find the apartment, then only resolved it after he found Tsumugi, who gave him an omamori and they improved their luck together. He thinks it stands and sticks with being kidnapped to an alternate world as being kind of a huge bad thing and doesn't feel like explaining the rest of his first day. ]

[Pff. How succinct.]
