[ The video post flickers on to show two people, both looking rather different in demeanor. The taller of the two looks to have a scowl on his face, and eyes and hair a matching deep green. He’s not happy to be here, he doesn’t even feel comfortable leaving the apartment. Which is why he’s here with the shorter of the two boys.

It would’ve been hard to tell that the scruffy, blue-haired boy is the older of the two, but that’s probably part of his charm and it shows in how he addresses the network with a bright smile and a wave of his hand, as if he were a natural at this. ]

--Oh, I think we’re on! Hello, Lunatia! We’d like to introduce ourselves first of all: My name is Aoba Tsumugi, and this kind lad over here is my roommate! Ah, you should say hello too, Midorima-kun!

[ He gestures at the screen as smoothly as he could.

Midorima’s brows furrow before he’s even finished talking, looking mildly annoyed. What he’s annoyed about becomes apparent within only a few seconds as he doesn’t say hello and instead focuses in on correcting what he thinks was wrong with that sentence. ]

Who’s a “kind lad”? Focus on the task at hand.

[ Apparently, that’s all the greeting he’s bothering with. Tsumugi can only sigh a little before facing the screen again, smile still intact. ]

This is Midorima Shintarou, by the way. Seriously, kids these days… Um, but before I go off track, the reason why we’ve put this up is because we have one thing in common, and that is horoscopes. Luck, in general. Do you know there are apps here that tells you your daily fortune and what lucky item to bring around with you to ward off bad luck? Technology’s so amazing! Even though we’re from different worlds, it’s nice to know that there are other people who believe in them -- and that is why we are here today.

[ Midorima’s worried that Tsumugi’s going to go on for too long, so he chimes in with a much more direct demand of their audience over the network. ]

Respond with your astrological sign or birthday if you aren’t sure. We’re also looking to know what items are considered lucky in other worlds that may be incorporated into an apartment.

Y-You can just ask nicely them, you know! People wouldn’t know how to respond if you’re being demanding like that... [ why are tsunderes the way they are, man ] Anyway, it’d be very helpful for us to know everyone’s signs and birthdays to balance out of luck if it ever goes bad for a day so that we can stick with those people for a while… I’m a Leo and he’s a Cancer, if that helps.

Also! If anyone knows other forms of divination such as palmistry and tarot, that’d be greatly appreciated as well… I’m honestly more comfortable consulting with someone privately about my fortunes rather than rely on technology all the time, so let me know if it’s all right to approach you for regular sessions! I’ll pay with Chroma if I have to.

[ Midorima just decides to move on and end the video. He’s not going to give Tsumugi the chance to say goodbye. ]

And I suppose you have a point, but all I meant to say was you can't just start following somebody around just because they're lucky.

The zodiac is a set of constellations that rotate around the sun. As they move through space, their position affects luck in varying aspects of human life. People of a certain sign tend to share some similar characteristics and if utilized correctly, you can use predictions made based on them to compensate for bad luck.

[ As for the other part, he stays quiet for a few moments as he thinks, brow furrowing slightly but otherwise his stare firm. ]

I'm concerned for the state of other worlds that firmly believe every person who brings up interacting with someone needs to be told not to stalk them. [ Weiss is not the first person.. ]

You can't just follow someone around if you see them across the street. That's all I'm saying. But seeing as we're imagining two different scenarios, maybe it's best to just drop it.

You can curse someone over the phone, I wouldn't doubt it's possible. When is his birthday?

[ He'll require him to get his lucky item for the day before he talks to him. ]

... I don't know. [ Why does this guy think she'd know??? ] He was probably born on the most unlucky day of all.

It's probably best that you don't. He doesn't have a very pleasant personality. I only mentioned him because I was reminded of his Semblance.

[ Why bring him up at all? Midorima was going to help. He feels for people with bad luck even if he's still acting like a jerk about it. ] "Semblance"?

[ Because Qrow might approach him??? Look. She doesn't know, but she figured it was worth mentioning. ]

Oh, sorry. A Semblance is an ability people from Remnant have. Each individual's is different. Qrow's is, like I said, bad luck.

[ It's not a very useful ability. ]

That's not an ability, that's a curse.

[ What a useless person this Qrow guy must be. Keep him away. ]

I'm not going to disagree. There are more useful types of Semblance, though. His just isn't one.

[ Maybe she'd be nicer to Qrow if he were nicer to her... he makes fun of her constantly, so Weiss is gonna shittalk him. ]

[ He's assuming she's from this place called Remnant using context clues. ]

Thankfully something more useful. I have my Glyphs, which have many uses, such as platforms, shields, conduit for Dust, and summoning.

[ And because it'll probably be confusing without a visual, she summons a small one on top of her palm. The snowflake at the centre moves, rotating like a clock. ]

So you have magic.

[ Try to explain your way out of that one Weiss. ]

Semblance isn't magic. You're using your energy to to make it tangible, but magic doesn't require any of that.

[ The Glyph disappears and she sets her hand back down on her lap. ]

If you can use magic where you're from, there's no source for what you're making. It just appears out of thin air.

There are a number of fiction works that have sources for magic.

I'm comparing everything here to a work of fiction. My world has no magic and technology is not this advanced. Our people are not part-animal in any way.

[ There are a lot of differences, but every last bit of this is sci-fi-fantasy to him. ]

[ Okay, now she feels a little bad. Not because she's been sassy to him or anything, but she can't imagine being brought into a world like this and finding it way too different from what you're used to. ]

[ It sounds more plausible than him being in a coma somewhere. He's sure he'd be able to figure out if he was in a coma. Most of the time he can recognize dreams eventually. ]

I've been told, but I haven't experienced it myself yet.

Before the new cycles begin, you should probably stock up on food and water just so you don't have to go outside. That is, if you'd prefer to stay in, anyway.
