[ The video starts off with Riou sitting at a table, dressed in camo as per his.. tastes, always. It's hard to tell where he is, but there's a camo net draped over the wall like it's some kind of lovely curtain. He thought it best to make it look nice for his first video post. Riou himself has all of his Sanguis parts- wolf ears atop his head above his normal ones, a wagging tail, long canine teeth are what's visible. ]

My name is Riou. I got a few things from the Ware Wolf Shop. I wanted to share them. I haven't unboxed them yet. This will be a two-part video.

[ They weren't exactly shipped, but he got them in boxes so they were easier to carry!! So this is Riou's inboxing stream. 'u' ]

I have two items. This is the first. [ He holds up the bigger box, then opens it up with his bare hands. No box cutter needed, Riou is stronk. He shows the open box top to the video to reveal the top of the Birdbox. He pulls it out and sets it on the table in front of him. The metal bird seems to come to life, tilting its head from side to side with a small tweet. ]

This is a Birdbox. It looks nice. If you sing to it, it learns your world's music. Let's try.

[ And Riou raps a couple verses of Yokohama Walker. He waits for a minute until the bird stops.. doing whatever it's doing, it looks like it's tweeting up a storm and flying around. ]

Play Bayside Smoking Blues. [ It starts playing this! Riou looks pleased. ] He's not here, that was a good test. Looks like it works.

[ He puts the cage down on the ground under the table, so now the song is just playing in the background for the rest of the video. Then he pulls a much smaller box, a bracelet box. ]

This is the Dusklight Bracelet. [ He opens it up and shows the camera. It's kind of blurry since it didn't focus right away. He sets it down and takes it out. ] You wear this and it will make one of your moonblessings permanent. I want to keep my ears. They're good for hunting.

[ He slips it on. ] I don't know how you tell it that. I could end up with the wrong one. [ .......Too late. Oh well. ]

We'll check in tomorrow to see, once the moon is gone.

[ He gives a brief wave, then turns the video off...






And sure enough the video starts up again, this time he's responding live, and he has just the ears since the second part of the video is no longer during Sanguis moon like the pre-recorded part. ]

I don't know how it works.

[ ...But it did. He reaches up with both hands and holds the tips of his wolf ears. What a mystery. He gives a thumbs up to the camera. Unboxing video over. ]

[At least, she thinks he's live and this isn't like Youtube.] I remember watching these kind of videos before, unboxing. There is something rather satisfying about it...

Anyway, your songs from back home are really, how to say, cool! So that is what Jyuto sounded like. I suppose it would be nice if he was here to hear your music live.

[But now to the more important part.] That was the first time I've seen you as a wolf. Why did you feel like keeping your ears? [It's a very conscious choice as well.]

Jyuto has a nice voice. I can play our songs for you now in completion, too.

[ He kind of wanted to show her and it didn't feel right to show her the whole thing without Jyuto around, so this is great. ]

I'm in another world without as much knowledge of the environment and without being able to immerse myself while living in the city. The ears help with hunting and awareness, since I can hear better.

[She nods in understanding.] Ah, this is clever. You're good with videos too, you're quite talented.

[He still figured it out!]

I would love to listen! Before we had trouble only because you didn't have Jyuto, but now I can hear the songs with all your voices, no?

[She totally gets it since Samatoki and Riou did tell her this. It's not live, but it's close enough, and she knows the voices behind it.]

Your skills in adapting are unparallel. You embraced the idea of having those ears on you so soon, it's very brave. They do suit you.

Thanks. I don't know how good I am at it, but it was enjoyable. I decided to do it because it sounded like a scam to be able to change your physical makeup so easily.

[ If his money gets taken then liiiike oh well, he'll deal with it. He's not worried about starving or homelessness or anything, so if he takes a risk then he doesn't have to worry about it. He can try so other people don't have to get burned. ]

Now no one else has to worry about it being fake.

[ He smiles, then adds: ] You can come over whenever you want to listen.

[She understands that people watch these for the same reason as well. And also, it looks like that many seem to be getting lucky in getting the changes they want. In his case, he proved that the product works, and he got the ears he wanted. Good karma? Also Riou, why are you so kind.]

You're doing so much for them, truly.

[She nods eagerly.] I would like that! I was planning on coming over the visit some time this week.

How unfortunate, I hope he isn't lonely left by himself in your world. I'd be grateful just to be able to hear via the birdbox.
As for the music I'm used to, music is primarily used for worship. But outside of church, entertainers use stringed instruments like lutes, harps or violins with some kind of hand drum. There was a bagpipe player in the village square coming by more and more recently, but the townswomen were becoming annoyed with him because his music was so noisy, haha.
You might say it's very different than the beeping and booping instruments that Mad Trigger Crew seems to use.
