so i've got a question for people who've been around here for a long time
and sorry if this has been asked before; you can just direct me to the info or whatever
but
is there any way to suppress the weird pheromone crap that happens when this transformation stuff kicks in?
i mean i adore bein lusted after as much as the next guy, but it's kinda problematic sometimes
i guess if need be i could just lock myself in my apartment or whatever right
but i don't wanna be a prisoner for half the month, either
then again, i guess if there's no other way, then i've got no choice
anyway, yeah any info is much appreciated

i mean
it kinda made some people a bit more forward with me than they would ever be, i guess?
[ basically: he fucked his best friend, whoops. ]
Re: text;
huh
maybe cologne would work? or mix in with it enough to make people stay clear for a little bit

As far as I can tell there is no particular way to suppress the pheromones or render them impotent, but they do fluctuate in strength as do the traits.
Some months are easier than others; still, you should only be affected heavily for a couple of days at the peak of the moon you're under the influence of, and then again when all three are in the sky.
In my experience, the days surrounding are fairly easy to dismiss.
Quarantine is viable but as you've said, rather miserable.
I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
I apologize; I don't have better news to offer.
save him angie
[ ""doc"" smh. ]
but, ahaha... that's not very promising, is it? i guess it's just somethin i'm gonna have to coordinate better...
she tryin!! sorry she doesn't remember u...
I suppose it's a bit ill-placed, but welcome to Prismatica.
If there is anything I could help with or if you ever need the medical assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me.
But no, it isn't very promising, I'm sorry. Even for being one of the first arrivals, it's only been a few months and the scientists here still can't figure out why we're capable of processing the energy they need or how to get us back home, or even how we arrived here in the first place.
There is relief in contact with others, and it doesn't need to be anything explicit, but again, I know that isn't much of a consolation and how easily things can get out of hand. They aren't necessarily trying to solve the side effects. To them, it's normal, I suppose.
das okay...

Of course, we'll need to stockpile food during the day, considering Cordis' impact on appetite. To say nothing of Chroma supplies.

or it felt that way, anyway
but uh from the sounds of it, sequestering myself doesn't sound that uh... doable without a lot of plannin, huh?

I'm going to try stocking up on better food every day until the end of Cordis' influence, so I won't have to go out at night again.

Dr. Ziegler up there is a friend of mine, she would know better than I do from a more medical standpoint. I can only talk anecdotally, and I'm not a Cordis and neither are my primary partners. Well, not until recently. One is, and I have another Cordis friend I do the cuddling stuff with.
It doesn't seem like there is a way to suppress or stop any changes, pheromones or otherwise. The Prismals and people here think we're blessed, after all, and as annoying and horrible as it can be, we're supposed to celebrate it I guess? It can suck, and I hope you find a way to deal with it.
Just remember that whatever happens, you didn't ask for this and it's not your fault.
I can try to get my Cordis friends to reply here? But one doesn't seem to care about other people much, and the other really hides his feelings and buries it deep. But big voracious appetite seems to be a common theme with Cordis. In my experience as an Iris, I find the pheromones of Cordis very alluring; everyone's smells different. One is like a smoky, foggy mystery, and the other is really musky and makes me feel dizzy after a while.

uh.
huh... you have a point, i guess...? why would they want us to suppress somethin they strive towards, and all that... i guess i'll just have to cope myself
[ a pause, and then: ]
i mean if your friends don't give a shit, ain't no reason to try and make em...
but uh that's interesting, at least?...

Do you have any friends or people you can do a "buddy system" here with? To keep each other in check when the moon's got you.

I usually just avoid people whenever I can during the Cordis moon.
