Okay... I think this might work! What do you think, Chirithy?

[ventus has the camera propped up against something on the counter as he mixes together what looks like the dry ingredients for cookies. there's some flour stuck to his cheek and chiirthy perched atop his head and precariously leaning forward to peer into the mixing bowl. it raises a paw, as if about to say something when it just

tumbles

into the dry mix, sending flour and whatnot up into the air like a giant white cloud. it hits ventus right in the face and the camera's edges are touched with flour. chirithy pops up out of the bowl and laughs a little sheepishly.

ventus just sighs.]

I think... I messed up somewhere along the way.

They taste okay at least???

I mean I didn't set anything on fire and the smoke alarm didn't go off.

That's not quite what I asked, but I suppose if you're fine on your own, I won't interfere.

Well, I find myself with an abundance of free time, if you'd like me to come over now. It's up to you.

[And, in about three seconds, a corridor opens up, and out walks Invi, right into wherever the hell Ven is right at the moment.]

What would you like to attempt first? Another batch of cookies?

[ven's hell includes a platter of burnt cookies, an empty bowl of raw cookie dough sitting in the sink (he had attempted to keep the dishes to a minimum at least), and a fair amount of chirithy shaped messes made out of flour and other dry ingredients along the kitchen counters.

ven is looking like he never really cleaned up from when chirithy fell into the bowl of flour either as the white powder still sticks to his hair and cheeks.

invi's sudden appearance has him jumping out of his skin a little and he clutches at his chest, leaning against the counter to regain his heartbeat back.]

M-Master, u-um... cookies. Yeah. Cookies sound good.

You've certainly found yourself in quite a mess.

[She's not commenting on the fact she's startled him. Clearly this can serve as a warning for the future! She can be wherever she wants, whenever she wants!!!]

That should be fine though. Lets see here...

[Don't mind her, she's just going to root through his dry ingredients, gathering up what's necessary for him, and... cleaning up the counters as she goes, because those are a lot of Chirithy shaped flour designs.]

[that's nightmare fuel, invi. please.]

I thought I'd have more time to clean before...

[oh well. he goes back to cleaning what he can, tackling the rest of the dishes he had stacked up from earlier seeing as they'll probably need them again.]

What sort of things do you like to bake, Master Invi?

I don't normally. I suppose it can be relaxing, but I'm more of the gardening sort. It's still a useful skill to have, however. So lets be sure to teach you right.

[Her baking skill isn't awful, but she's no master chef. All it takes is following a recipe, doesn't it...?]

Do you have a recipe card?

Gardening? Like for vegetables and stuff? [that also seems pretty useful too. he files that information away for later consideration.] Oh-!

[finishing drying the last dish and setting it aside, ventus pulls out a folded up piece of paper from his apron pocket and holds it out for her. it's folded outwards so that the recipe can be read easily. just a normal recipe for chocolate chip cookies.]

If I can get this right I think it'd make a pretty good pick-me-up for anyone I may know who might not be feeling too hot. It's hard being upset when you have sweets, right?

That's right. Though flowers are nice as well.

[Gently, she reaches to take the card, giving it a thoughtful hum as she looks it over.

It's... simple? It doesn't ask for anything hard, and yet, Ventus' results had been... Less than optimal.]

I think you'll get the hang of it after this. It's a fairly simple recipe.

[And she's confident in her abilities to make sure that Ventus knows how to make cookies! It's not a souffle! It's not creme brule! He should be fine, right?]

letting her read over the recipe, ven straightens when she asks him that. he dries his hands off the apron around his waist before shuffling off to pull one of the clean mixing bowls from the rack along with the first ingredients on the list.] Uh, first I mixed all the dry stuff first! Or, well I had to do that part twice after Chirithy fell in the bowl the first time...

I like to grow all sorts of plants, to be honest. From flowers to vegetables and fruits. [There really isn't anything she likes in particular, though she supposes edible plants are nice in that they're pleasant to look at as well as good for cooking.]

They can be quite the handfuls, can't they? Your Chirithy is probably making up for lost time with you. [But, she is supervising this time, and if a little troublemaker appears...

Invi will quickly snatch it.]
