[video] July 16th: Employment Opportunities [cw: sex work/prostitution]
[Hanzo is positioned in the same way in front of the camera as he was the last time he had to make a message like this, but this time his hair is overgrown and white, but he has the wild locks pushed over one shoulder making it seem just a bit neater.]
Hello again. This is Hanzo Shimada.
Last month I asked if there would be any interest in a brothel catering to Moonblessed, and while there were a lot of people who did not understand or did not approve of the concept, there were also those who did show interest. Some who were not interested also voiced approval for the idea.
So on the first day of this month's triple moon cycle, I would like to announce the opening of Flux. We are located on Level 3.
We have job openings for paid moonlacing partners as well as security personnel. Please let me know if you are interested, and I will provide more information to you. Otherwise if you have questions, I have time to answer them.
Thank you.
[Before ending the video, he leaves his desk to go to the outside of the building for a good shot of the entrance should anyone prefer speaking with him in person instead.]

But it is difficult to tease while Hanzo is smiling like that. After a moment or two longer Zenyatta finally gives in and deposits the morsel into his waiting mouth.]
Occasionally. But it is worthwhile, too. [He replaces the chopsticks and continues in a soft, thoughtful tone that perhaps conveys something of a frown.] You suffer from nightmares, do you not? Sometimes it is helpful, to be woken up before they can take root.
no subject
Yes, occasionally. [More often than not, but they've grown less frequent as of late. He imagines it's due to his reconciliation with his brother.]
Your kindness never fails to disarm me.
no subject
We all have the potential to be kind. I have simply had more practise at it than some- and you have not been shown enough of it in your lifetime. [But that is obviously not what is lingering in his thoughts; only after a moment or two of silence does he continue.] I cannot call it insight in this instance. I speak from personal experience. I found it difficult to offline peacefully for a number of weeks after Mondatta's death.
no subject
Especially not when he has a past like his. Atoning for that sort of thing can't be possible, even if Zenyatta disagrees. Still, he--wait.]
Mondatta? Your brother? [He frowns. Hanzo relates somewhat, though not entirely. He did mourn Genji for all the years he believed him gone.]
I am sorry you had to experience that. His presence did a lot of good even if he was taken before his time. [Not that Hanzo knows the life expectancy of omnibus, but there was so much more work to be done to smooth human-omnic relations.] How did you overcome that?
no subject
No omnic has a "family" in the human sense of the word, strictly speaking. While we share the same schema, so do the thousands upon thousands of others of our model. When we- the Shambali, that is- chose to call each other brother and sister, we did so out of a desire to forge our own kind of kinship.
[A pause. His voice has been carefully neutral; he speaks in the kind of tone used to tell a fairytale.]
Yet the bond Mondatta and I shared... I wonder if it was not fated. When he passed, I felt as if I lost a part of myself. [Light spills across the rounded chrome of his brow as he glances sideways, briefly haloed.] I do not think I will ever overcome a loss so great. The hurt will live with me forever. But I must accept that it is as much a part of me as the joy we shared.
no subject
[He's not being condescending for a change. It really would be nice to be able to build families of those you love and trust most. Being related by blood and therefore required to behave accordingly doesn't always work out as it should.]
I saw it on the news right after it happened. His passing was a sadness for a great number of people all around the world. It must have been different for you though. The two of you were family. [Hanzo frowns, not sure if he should keep that topic or switch to something else. Ultimately he decides that out of respect he wants them to spend a moment remembering Mondatta no matter how painful it may be for the monk.]
He lives on through you, and through everyone he touched. Just like, apparently, my father lives on through me. Which..is unfortunate for his spirit, but Genji tries to tell me he would be proud of me. I think your brother would be proud of you as well, Zenyatta.
no subject
He proceeds so cautiously now that Zenyatta can scarcely take it, as if he were made of glass and his every word a bullet. But they are so sweet, all of a sudden, and so gentle, and Zenyatta cannot simply sit still. Almost soundlessly he slips from his seat and behind Hanzo.]
Thank you.
[Long and sinuous, his arms wind loosely about Hanzo's waist; the fingers of one hand splay across his chest, over the beat of his heart and the rise and fall of his lungs like the endless sighing of the ocean.
His forehead comes to rest between his shoulder blades.]
I... apologise. For allowing tonight to become so melancholy. [he hesitates, then-] I am not sure I want to leave tonight.
no subject
Blood ties or not, Hanzo respects the monk enough to recognize his family ties like he would any humans. He's come a long way.]
It is fine. [He says quickly, as soon as he feels hands wrapping around him and fingers spreading over him.] There is no reason to apologize. Just as there is no reason to leave tonight if you would rather stay. [Hanzo tilts his head back to look up at the faceplate hovering just over his shoulder.]
no subject
He does not thank him again, but he hopes it comes across in the sigh he vocalises, muffled by Hanzo's shirt but heartfelt nonetheless.]
I would.
[There passes between them the smallest hum of electricty- a kiss- before Zenyatta eases back, returning enough space in which to comfortably eat.]
Do not get up- I will make up a bed for myself.
no subject
Good. I would like that.
[He feels it, but it could have just as easily been his imagination. Hanzo is beginning to stand up when the monk insists that he does no such thing. Although immensely soothing, Zenyatta's is a voice Hanzo finds compelling enough that he tends to obey without much thought.]
Is it not possible for us to sleep together? [He's asking because he's unsure whether it is an omnic thing? Otherwise he would rather have the monk beside him.]
no subject
If his tone had been even remotely ambiguous before it is unmistakable now, all faltering edges, like curled pages in a book, and quiet hope.]
That would be wonderful.
[He backtracks, just enough to let his fingers comb through Hanzo's hair for the sheer pleasure of feeling it slide through his fingers, body-warm, like liquid silk.]
Thank you.
[The touch lingers at his scalp, through once more to the ends of his hair. Then he is gone, off to make up his side of Hanzo's bed.]
no subject
He's so stuck in his thoughts for a moment he doesn't notice when Zenyatta moves close enough to touch his hair until the strands are already falling between his fingers.]
I would prefer all gratitude from now on to be non-verbal. [The archer manages a weak chuckle as he tilts his head to look at the monk for a moment longer before he goes. He doesn't press the issue now, but once he's cleaned up and ready for bed he'll accept the thanks in as many ways as he can manage before they fall asleep together.]
