[Somehow, Mordred wasn't surprised this came up. She already knew of the various Masters in town, and how various Servants she hadn't met in Romania seemed to already know her as more than just 'Saber' or even 'Mordred, Son of Arthur.']

He's a Japanese man. Kairi Sisigou. We were in Romania, when I was summoned for some weird Grail war that had everyone split into two teams.

You're not involved with that Moon stuff, are you?

Kairi? How did he even end up summoning you.

No, never mind.

[No, of course, if the Master didn't directly choose a Servant, they got the one who had a similar temperament to theirs. And how did that work with hot headed Mordred of all people? But no.]

The Mooncell you mean? I was, but right now I am not. I am serving Ritsuka Fujimaru of Chaldea. I have been around a bit.

Dang, so you're from that Alternate Timeline too. That girl, Hakuno was explaining that to me the other day.

It's weird, how things can be so alike but so different.

Sort of like that yes. Though I would say you are from the alternate timeline.

What are you doing in this place then, since I am going to assume your Master didn't come with you?

Aren't we all from an alternate timeline to someone else? This is too weird!

But I've been taking it easy and having fun here. There's no Grail and what not, so it's been nice just... being.

I do not know if it is too weird. You are there in Chaldea.
But also met you on two other occasions, once as an ally and then as an enemy. So it's not so strange to me.

I guess as long as you are not causing too much trouble, that is fine too. And it is pleasant, not having to fight, knowing you're going to vanish after it is all over.

I never thought I'd get all this time. It's weird, and I dunno what to do with all of it.

I dunno, Gawain. I've already eaten tons of the food here, and it's a waste picking fights with the other Servants if there's no Grail but there's NO ONE who can put up a good fight! Monsters don't come around all the time and there's no kingdom to protect so WHAT IS ALL THSI TIME FOR?

Yes. It was founded to save humanity. That's the simple idea.

Are you really asking me after everything that happened? And how do you know no one can put up a fight?

But, just think of yourself as a knight errant. Search for adventure. That's what I would do if I had neither King or Master at least.

Because regular humans usually can't hold up to a Servant.

A Knight Errant, hut? And go around protecting all those who can't protect themselves? I've already been doing some of that.

Then don't fight the regular humans? Not everyone here is human.

But as long as you do not let your skills completely waste, then it isn't so bad to focus on other matters.

Then keep focusing on that. And go on adventures. There are all those creatures outside of the city. Slay a monster or something.


I don't know, I haven't ever had much to worry about on that front, as long as I had someone to serve. Ritsuka is a fine master, but she never wants much of me, so I have to find other ways to preoccupy myself.

Your Ritsuka sounds like a boring Master she gives you nothing to do. Even when my Master is working on something I don't get, I know he's always got something in the works for us.

Well we're only there to save the world back home, nothing more.

But I shall let that thread go for now.

The point is, you do not have a Master here and you were fighting for a grail anyways, were you not? So you need to decide what to do on your own. As long as it doesn't make trouble for anyone.
