I miss him a lot already, but I know I can rely on him to keep everybody on track at home while I'm gone.

[ A massive portion of the crew isn't here, but Gran is relieved by that thought. He does miss them too, but that relief overcomes any potential loneliness. Remaining at home keeps them away from potential danger. And they'll be able to continue taking care of what needs to be done. ]

You won't regret it! They're really kind and wonderful people!
