She's perched on the edge of a bed in a room with a growing collection of potted plants, her long hair pinned back in a messy bun.

This network sure is lively! I didn't expect to see so much open discussion... [Especially concerning the topics, is the implication here, but it's said so cheerfully it's hard to tell if she's being insulting or not.] but that's good, isn't it? It's nice to see so many people getting along, even if they're from different places. It encouraged me to use it too.

For those of you I haven't met, my name is Aerith. For those of you I have, thank you if you helped me, and I hope you're all settling in alright. It's been a big adjustment for me, but I think I'm finding my way around things. It's hard to say! I guess I won't know until something big happens.

More to the point...I wanted to talk about something. Where I'm from, I used to grow a little garden in a church. I've got something of a green thumb, you see. [:)] I've been doing work into finding out what grows here locally, and I was thinking of expanding some. A community garden...that'd be nice, wouldn't it? I've never grown anything with other people. I suppose I'm a little shy about it. [:))] And as I'm learning, it would take Chroma...

But new places are all about expanding your horizons, right? Let's work together. If you've never planted anything before, once I've got everything set up, I can show you how.

So!

What sort of plants would you all like to see? Something edible? Floral? Anything from home? [She fistpumps.] I can try my best to grow it!

Oh, and —

Can anyone tell me more about the plant life here? I want to learn as much as I can.

[ It's a very simple response, but he would love a community garden that did this. He'd happily donate to it too, if he could. He's the type of person who likes to explore and hunt his own food, so this is good. Especially since he doesn't have the space in his apartment for a garden of his own. ]

White roses are my absolute favorite. White is my favorite color in general, but most of my clothes are super bright and colorful.

Uwaaah how can people not recommend strawberries! Well, I'm glad I mentioned them!

Weird. I'd think you could grow flowers pretty much anywhere

[ He'd seen flowers all over the place. Swamps, deserts, popping up through cracks in concrete. Maybe not in a volcano or a snow storm, but either of those places seems pretty extreme to build a church in, never mind grow a garden. ]

Anyway I eat a lot of protein to make up for it

[ That's how that works right? And yeah, maybe she was just busy, but that sure was a pause before she answered... ]

I wouldn't wish to inconvenience you, but advice would be helpful. Admittedly while I do cook regularly I've never thought to have a garden.

[ Mostly because traveling and being on the road constantly makes that impossible. He also kind of... had someone else picking up vegetables and food for him. He's not the protag after all. Heading to the groves on a weekly basis is the most he does in terms of gathering up his own food. But having a personal garden, or at least learning how to make would, would be rather nice, being stuck in one spot and all. ]

Though I would advise some sort of compromise. If at all possible? I am aware not everyone is a fan of vegetables.

To be honest, I don't know what it means either. [A little laugh.] But, thank you. My mother named me.

Oh, not me. But I suppose I had a connection to that place. It was the only part of Midgar I could grow flowers in, so it was special to me.

Maybe it was holy ground.

That's not how it works! You're missing vital nutrients...you'll feel it later on.

It's not an inconvenience at all. I've always thought that a garden should be enjoyed by a big group of people. The more it's tended to, the more it grows.

Well, I'm growing fruit, too. That's a first for me!

Hi Amanda. It's good to meet you. Potions? Is that something you're able to make? Like an...apothecary? [There were potions in her world, but she'd never seen anyone craft them.]

Chamomile would make for good tea, if nothing else.
