one 💕 text.

I know the network is used for inquiries at this point, so I guess I might as well throw my hat in there for a little assistance of my own for a few things. And a bit of a general question in the end, I suppose.

1. I guess you could say that I'm looking for a job: I know it isn't really necessary here, given the currency, but I want to give myself something to do. In terms of my personal abilities, I'm pretty decent with technology (although the stuff here is a bit more advanced than what I'm used to) and writing. Back home, I wrote for the Student Cultural Society club and even did the photography for some of my personal articles. I've been doing some writing her for practice, but nothing too concrete.

2. I'm also looking for someone who could teach me a few things. I'm primarily looking for a combat teacher, primarily for self defense. Admittedly, I can't use magic or supernatural abilities or anything like that, so that's a bit of a minus on my end, so I need something else to protect myself. I learned a little bit of karate from one of my friends back home as well as pro-wrestling if you want to know what I'm primarily interested in. If any sort of payment is necessary for that service, please feel free to let me know as well.

3. Not really that much of an actual, proper inquiry from my end, but something I'm naturally curious about: what kinds of worlds is everyone from? I've heard that there's a good amount of people from Japan - and personally, I'm from Yokohama myself but I'm interested in hearing if there's anything about your worlds that makes it potentially unique or special. (Perhaps I could even figure out how many Japans there are?) Oh, and I guess hearing your favorite thing to do or places to go in your world would be great, too!

4. Also: what places here remind you of home? Is there anything about this world that you like in particular - whether it's better than your own world, etc.

Anyway, that should be it from me! Sorry about the massive tl;dr but I wanted to get that all out of the way.

To address your third statement I come from a world where there's no Japan at all, I suppose that makes it unique when compared to other worlds. Think dragons, demons, Darkspawn, and magic.

It's never dull.

I'm very fond of many places at home. I've spent a great deal of time in America's lands, of course, given our friendship, and I quite like some of the quirkier places there. Route 66 and its landmarks are particularly photogenic, for instance.

Caihong is very familiar for me in this place. It reminds me of my siblings quite a lot.

I suppose that would indeed be true. He is one of my closest friends, after all.

Oh. Have you not visited yet? It's in level three, and I believe that you'll find it familiar, if a bit old-fashioned in some aspects.

I can teach you basic self defense techniques. Unless you're specifically looking for a karate instructor. I know a little bit, but my style falls more within mixed martial arts. I also don't mind doing it for free.

[It would be good training for her as well, and a good reason to not allow her skills to get rusty.]

Aw jeez. Sorry pal, I'm not always so great at quizzes. But I think I got two answers for ya!

2. Hey pal, I feel you about not exactly being gifted in the magical department. But hey, as a police detective, I know a few things about self-defense. I'd be happy to give you some lessons. It'll be on the house!

3. Japan? I've heard about that place, pal! Never been there myself, but Japanese culture really thrives over where I live in LA! I dunno about anything that makes my Earth different than anyone else's, though. We might be from the same one!

I'm from Morioh in Japan. We're famous for strange landmarks.

We have a rock that growls at people. Boing-Boing Cape. And a few haunted locations. I guess my house is, too. Or it was.

They are tainted creatures that burrow their way up from the earth, killing and corrupting indiscriminately. Their number is impossible to calculate making them even more threatening than demons.

On the positive side while they are trying to find old gods to corrupt they spend most of their time underground and they hate sunlight...so there is that..

I think it's important to find that nougat of optimism, even in the direst of situations, whatever it is you are going through it can most certainly be worse. It's those who say that it cannot who often find the situation spiraling downhill from there.

And that is Thedas all over.

This Japan of your, does it have any dangerous creatures or magic lurking in corners somewhere?

That's fortunate for you, though the no magic bit sounds terribly dull.

Is there anything in particular that makes your Japan different from other Japans that are out there?

Right! Well, I'm just glad I didn't flunk anything. It was tough enough getting through the Moon Knights exam!

2. Heh, that's nice of you to say. But that's right, pal! Back home, I'm Detective Dick Gumshoe. Being safe's the only payment I need. We could get started whenever works for you!

3. I guess that does make sense. 2011, huh? Whoa, I'm from the future, pal! I come from the year 2019!!

Well I can help with some of the more basic stuff and practice with you. It'll at least be something until you're able to find someone who can instruct you in karate. I can even show you some of my style and you can decide whether you have an interest or not. Self-defense is important, but you should pick a style that you feel comfortable with.

Hard to miss the things you don't have I suppose.

Ah. I suppose 2011 is a year of sorts? It's currently Dragon 9:41...at least I think it is, but I suspect that is as much of a mystery to you as it is to me.

My house was considered a famous location before it incurred 700 million yen in fire damage. I'm sure there were rumors about it being haunted, though.

The ghosts that I know of have since moved on.
