I know the network is used for inquiries at this point, so I guess I might as well throw my hat in there for a little assistance of my own for a few things. And a bit of a general question in the end, I suppose.
1. I guess you could say that I'm looking for a job: I know it isn't really necessary here, given the currency, but I want to give myself something to do. In terms of my personal abilities, I'm pretty decent with technology (although the stuff here is a bit more advanced than what I'm used to) and writing. Back home, I wrote for the Student Cultural Society club and even did the photography for some of my personal articles. I've been doing some writing her for practice, but nothing too concrete.
2. I'm also looking for someone who could teach me a few things. I'm primarily looking for a combat teacher, primarily for self defense. Admittedly, I can't use magic or supernatural abilities or anything like that, so that's a bit of a minus on my end, so I need something else to protect myself. I learned a little bit of karate from one of my friends back home as well as pro-wrestling if you want to know what I'm primarily interested in. If any sort of payment is necessary for that service, please feel free to let me know as well.
3. Not really that much of an actual, proper inquiry from my end, but something I'm naturally curious about: what kinds of worlds is everyone from? I've heard that there's a good amount of people from Japan - and personally, I'm from Yokohama myself but I'm interested in hearing if there's anything about your worlds that makes it potentially unique or special. (Perhaps I could even figure out how many Japans there are?) Oh, and I guess hearing your favorite thing to do or places to go in your world would be great, too!
4. Also: what places here remind you of home? Is there anything about this world that you like in particular - whether it's better than your own world, etc.
Anyway, that should be it from me! Sorry about the massive tl;dr but I wanted to get that all out of the way.

On the positive side while they are trying to find old gods to corrupt they spend most of their time underground and they hate sunlight...so there is that..

That's interesting to know, but also really messed up in a lot of ways. But at least there is a positive note in all of this.

And that is Thedas all over.

Caihong is very familiar for me in this place. It reminds me of my siblings quite a lot.

Also Caihong?
[ please tell her more. ]

Oh. Have you not visited yet? It's in level three, and I believe that you'll find it familiar, if a bit old-fashioned in some aspects.

And I haven't actually! I admittedly still have a lot of exploring to do in this world.

2. Hey pal, I feel you about not exactly being gifted in the magical department. But hey, as a police detective, I know a few things about self-defense. I'd be happy to give you some lessons. It'll be on the house!
3. Japan? I've heard about that place, pal! Never been there myself, but Japanese culture really thrives over where I live in LA! I dunno about anything that makes my Earth different than anyone else's, though. We might be from the same one!

2. You're a police detective? That's pretty amazing. . . I'd definitely be willing to learn. I'm a pretty fast learner, at least. And I'd appreciate that it's on the house, too.
3. Yeah. That's where I was born and raised, actually. And yeah - some places in California have influential because of the immigrants since it's a state next to the ocean. And I guess it'd depend on the year? It was 2011 back home for me.

2. Heh, that's nice of you to say. But that's right, pal! Back home, I'm Detective Dick Gumshoe. Being safe's the only payment I need. We could get started whenever works for you!
3. I guess that does make sense. 2011, huh? Whoa, I'm from the future, pal! I come from the year 2019!!

2. I have a lot of free time so any time you're free is alright with me.
3. Oh, another person from the future. . . do you have flying cars yet?
no subject
2. Good to hear! Then I'll just set something up for when I'm off duty.
3. Nope! The eggheads are really slacking on that one. They must be getting saved for even more in the future!

As far as payment is concerned, I never had to pay for my training, so neither will you. If you are interested in more details, you can contact me through the same channels that this message is being delivered through.

Pro-wrestling actually uses a lot of grapples, so as far as I know, I'd at least be interested in seeing how you teach.

In my experience, any form of combat training starts with a good foundation. Learning the basics is necessary to ensure that you do not start off with an improper understanding of how to fight, as well as making sure you do not hurt yourself. Any more than necessary, of course.
When it comes to what that means in practice, that mostly comes down to footwork before anything else. I believe that is where we should start, and continue on from there. Though to truly gauge your starting point, I would need to see you in person.
I am ready to begin at any time. If I am correct, it is possible to send my location to you through this
[ The message ends abruptly. Following it up is a GPS location not even ten minutes away walking. Saves them both a lot of time.

My apologies, that was sent prematurely. Regardless, that is my current location, and I will be there for some time. Look for a man wearing a coat.

[ It's signed off...again. The mark of someone either way too old to be texting or utterly clueless about what they're doing. And a coat? In this weather? Clearly, he's insane. ]

I see.
I can come over right now, then.
