The point is that you're better with it than I am, since I've learned a new thing from you today! I guess, with all of the technology here, that you must be settling in pretty well? I'm still finding it hard to deal with apartment decoration and things like that, but I'm managing...I'm a little jealous of you, to be honest!

Oh! You're actually the second Japanese person I've met here; it's rather nice to be reminded of home like this. I have friends from Japan, I mean. But I'm from Egypt, Cairo specifically!

(Let me tell you, the pyramids are just as impressive in real life as they're made out to be. Even with all of the tourists around, they're magnificent.)

I guess it is! I haven't met many people from home in my travels, though naturally, I've met a lot of other Egyptian people in my lifetime. And I can only recommend travelling the world! It's a fantastic experience, though the language barriers can be tough. I'm lucky that I already know a few languages, but it's hard going to a new place where you don't understand much of what the locals say.

Still! New friends, new food, new cultures! It's something everyone should do, I think.
