I'm not surprised mental health doesn't translate, I've been worried about medical treatment for the same reason.
Being kind to myself, though...that's not easy. I've done a lot of shit I regret, and it's hard to think of myself as deserving to be happy.
I had given up on myself for a while, but I am trying to change that. If only as a 'fuck you' to the people who wish I'd never been born.
