First ur friend shakes hands with an asshole goddess in disguise as a gas station attendant then he can stick his hands through tv screens then u and him and his best friend go to the electronic section at Junes to watch him do it on one of the big screen TVs then even though u and ur friend's best friend can't put ur hands into TVs yet u end up falling inside the big screen TV and landing in the TV world which is full of fog and also Teddie and also shadows.

U don't get ur own persona for a few days later but what basically happens inside the TV world is u end up facing ur OWN special shadow eventually and it will say a lot of dickish things about the feelings u try to hide because they're nasty asshole feelings and eventually u will yell U R NOT ME and then maybe faint and the shadow will transform into a really messed up monster and ur friends who already have personas will fight it for u and afterward u will wake up and accept the shadow is a part of u and it will tranform into ur persona.

wow thats weird but i guess it sort of makes sense cause when i beat up the shadow me hades told me he had been made whole again

anyway we got our powers from an asshole butterfly man so i really feel about the goddess part

Nah both times I got my ultimate personas when I was hanging out with Souji.

I discovered stuff about myself and then my persona changed as far as I know that's what happened with everyone else too except maybe Souji but he did different stuff because he was a wild card and got given his personas on the other side of the blue mystery door instead of having his shadow turn into them.

philemon upgraded our personas after we proved ourselves stronger

yukino got a stronger one after her resolve when her boyfriend died...

souji is just that good at getting people to realize things about themselves
