Hello everyone! I have just two questions to ask today, so I hope you don't mind me posting this publicly. I just have no one else to ask but everyone!

So, first question: would anyone be interested in having a tarot reading done? I can do it over this bracelet business if you really like, though it's probably better to do it in person. I was actually thinking of opening a little shop for things like that, tarot readings and whatnot, but it's probably best to check if people would actually go first!

Second question! This is a little more personal, I'm sorry. I really hope that someone can help all the same, though. Has anyone got any idea of what it's going to be like to have a Sanguis, Cordis, and Iris all living in the same apartment? Or any of those two? Is it difficult to live together, and are there ways around the

[While Ren doesn't entirely realise that message was intended as a sign-off, he doesn't have a problem texting on the go anyway, so he figures he might as well just leave now that he knows where he's going and what he's looking for.

On one hand, at least it's not relying on his sense of direction any, since that can be a bit dicey with Ren. On the other, he does need to find the dive, but thankfully he reasons that if someone's reading fortunes, they're probably not going to be waiting on the main street, and starts going through some of the alleyways here and there until he spots a chicken and then the large man (and the mentioned earrings) nearby.

Ren raises the doorway curtain with one thin-fingered hand as he steps in, looking around a bit. He hasn't gotten to all of the smaller food shops in Caihong yet, and this one's certainly managed to escape his purview until now. The dimmer light inside makes his pupils, slit like a cat's, widen a bit as he wanders over, manner airy and a bit absent-minded seeming.]

Are you the fortune-teller, then? [His tone of voice is high and light, fitting to those drifting motions.]

[--!!! Ah, here's his first proper client of any sort, how fun! Avdol puts his tea down (after nearly spilling it in excitement, he's not excited this is his poker face) and turns on his chair to wave Ren over with a warm smile. Underneath him, the girls cluck contentedly and shuffle away just enough to make room for another pair of legs.]

That would be me, yes. Mohammed Avdol, and it's a pleasure to meet you! Did you want something to drink first, or shall I get straight into business?

[With a soft little chuckle, he stretches out an overly warm hand.] Or you could eat, of course. The food here is fantastic, and I won't mind at all if you're hungry.

[Normally, Ren might tease about his inability to bluff, but he prefers not to look too competent at things when he first meets someone. That's a reveal he likes to keep up his sleeve for later, so for the moment, he just drifts forward to sit down with the other man, taking the offered hand for a handshake that's much more grounded than he actually looks.]

Suzugamori Ren, but just Ren is fine. [Once introductions are out of the way, Ren turns his chair a bit to consider the food on offer.] I think I'll get something to eat...it's good to find new places down here, since I come down for tea pretty often.

[It is possible to find high-quality teahouses on the upper floors, but he finds it's easier to get hold of good green teas down here. In any case, he waves a hand to flag down one of the waitstaff.]

Ren! A pleasure indeed! [And an impressive handshake, too! Avdol hums contentedly and turns back to his tea, draining the cup and pouring himself another with practiced hands.]

Mm, I'm glad you allowed us to meet here, to be honest. This is my favourite district because of the familiar culture...If we meet again, you'll have to take me to one of your favourite spots so that I can find a new place in turn! Not that that's why we're here today, but it's nice to have a break from cooking for myself, all the same.

What sort of reading were you after, by the way? Out of curiosity!

[Ren orders some soup dumplings and a tea egg when the waiter comes by, but still remains listening to the other man's words. It's a quick exchange, so it doesn't distract much from what he's here for.]

The culture here is pretty familiar to me as well...though I can definitely think of some places to take you. I've found some nice teahouses down here. [Ren's rather picky about his drinks, so he has something of a list of acceptable tea and coffee places.] Anyway, I was mostly just curious about things coming up...this place keeps having odd little things happen month to month, so I guess I'm curious what kind of experiences I might be having over the next month.

[He knows not to be too specific with these kinds of readings, so he figures something like this should work well enough. He's not the type to ask anything too personal.]

Wonderful! I look forward to trying new blends; I'm rather fond of tea, to be honest. Even if I can't prepare it myself-- hm. Have I said this before? I feel like I have...

Never mind! [Clearly he's been talking about loving tea way too much lately, to get this sort of weird deja vu. Time to move on from that and into the reading proper, which means that he can get out his deck and start thoroughly shuffling away. He even rolls his sleeves up for Ren's benefit, just to show that there's nothing fishy going on (rigged tarot readings??? is that a thing?? apparently).

And then, he whips out one card to lay on the counter with enough fervour that Lionel clucks in surprise somewhere between his feet.]

The Empress! Interesting...I wonder whether this refers to you, or someone you're going to meet...Or simply a general idea of things still to come! At any rate, it signals beneficial influence, potential being drawn to the forefront, and helping the community. Guidance and support, security in all things, appreciation and personal development. It looks good, no matter what it might specifically apply to! I hope very much that it holds true for you.

Oh, maybe I could teach you. [Ren has people make his coffee and tea for him a considerable amount of the time, but it's also one of those things that he never quite risked not knowing how to do himself. Especially with the kinds of weird circumstances that show up in his world that might leave him short of competent tea brewers around him.

In any case, he rests his chin in his hands as the reading starts - he kind of prefers this more casual atmosphere to a lot of dramatics. After all, his interest is somewhat more in the cards than the faux spiritualism.] Hmm, that is an interesting one...I can already think of a few things that could be.

[His new business, for one, in terms of those first three things the card is meant to mean. The second set could potentially refer to some kind of friendship of his, but it is rather hard to say exactly which one. Either way, it's a good, broad description of the kind he knows to expect from this sort of thing, and he does like keeping his options open.]
